Sydney Airport

Come into the international airport 10 times a year. Always lines to go through customs. If you are on 45 or 6 carousel good luck. Lines are not marked and get in where ever you can. No one to help just a complete shambles. Takes me over 1 .5 hours from landing to car. All caused by customs. While waiting look to see how clean the place is and it amazes me it gets dirtier every time. Wake up Australia.

Recently used for a trip to South East Asia. Departure was on a morning flight and check-in went smoothly. Minimal queuing at Immigration control and security. Space available at gates for passenger boarding is limited but otherwise terminal facilities are reasonable. On return the Immigration processing was quick and bags arrived in 20 minutes but the queue for customs inspection was a disgrace. The whole process just seemed to be badly managed. Arriving passengers who were unfamiliar with the Australian Customs process were confused and very few staff were on hand to help.

The long queue on custom and immigration was outrageous after pick up my baggage another long queue for quarantine and inspection. I could see people seem to lost their way and amazed for the long line. Just imagine if you traveling with young children. I think time for the authority to start reviewing all this feedback.

A big improvement on previous visit. Excellent shopping and food areas. Prices on a par with other airports around the world. Departure was a breeze. Arrival was just as smooth. 'E' lanes worked very well. Customs and immigration were polite and helpful. Pick up and drop off easy.

This airport is improving in the main departures areas. The look of the building the design and the overall appearance of the shopping has improved. The arrivals hall is still dreary as is the ramp to customs. The blue swirly carpet has got to go.

As an Australian Citizen returning home for a recent trip to Auckland I was appalled at Sydney International. Considering that the first people you meet are customs I am only left wondering why they would put rude and unfriendly people in such a position. The airport is badly run and the transfer through a long and drawn out affair being shouted at and pushed from pillar to post. I left the terminal stressed after a relaxing weekend away. Sydney Airport needs a good shake up.
