"easy to navigate"

(United States)

Not Verified | Stewart Airport in Newburgh, NY, is simply good! I love to use this airport and often choose international carriers based on their landing at Stewart. My experiences with Play Airlines have also been great. Lorraine in check-in is a gem and keeps things running smoothly. It is wonderful that the airport keeps adding domestic flight carriers, as well. Now, travel is possible from Stewart International to Charleston, SC. No other airport is as easy to navigate as Stewart International. The atmosphere is pleasant, the staffing is top-notch, and the TSA agents are respectful and helpful. The entire process, from check-in to boarding, is smooth and efficient. International arrivals are quick, and I’ve never had an issue with my luggage. I highly recommend Stewart Airport to anyone who wants a simple, hassle-free international travel experience.

"the worst airport I have been to"

(United States)

Not Verified | In my life, I have been fourtunate enough to travel extensively. I've flown into and out of various airports throughout Africa, and other parts of the "developing" world, and I can say without a doubt that Stewart International Airport is the worst airport I have ever been to. Before leaving for Norway, my family and I decided to get a meal before the flight. This was our first mistake. When we tried to order subs, we were told they were not only out of the meats and vegetables we wanted, but also the sub rolls. "No big deal", I thought. I just want a sub and don't really care what kind it is. I saw that another employee was slicing turkey and asked for it on my sub. Only to be rudely told that they were out, even though it was literally two feet away. This sheer incompetence displayed by the staff seemed to be the airport's only unifying factor. The line to clear security was roughly 45 minutes, something that is ridiculous considering the number of TSA agents there. In addition, I was shocked by how rude, and downright nasty the TSA were. I have only had positive experiences with TSA in the past, and was very disappointed with how our experience went. Our return flight was somehow worse. There were only two automated check in kiosks, and surprise, when people started using them one broke. The airport's response, do absolutely nothing. This whole process took over an hour, partly because we had to wait for the customs officers to show up. Bear in mind, the airport knew a flight was coming in and should've had plenty of time to prepare and make the process as efficient as possible. In fact, I consider myself lucky. Somehow, on a non-stop flight, the staff managed to loose six bags! In conclusion, it seems that the only criteria to get a job at Stewart airport is to be inept, lazy, and rude. I strongly discourage anyone thinking of flying in or out of the airport.

"not happy with customer service"

(United Kingdom)

Trip Verified | Attention Norwegian! Ground check-in crew are completely rude. We have never flown with Norwegian before and didn’t know what the personal item procedure was for the cabin. Staff rolled her eyes and was chewing gum out of the side of her mouth. No need for that what so ever, regardless of whether it was our first time or not. When asked why the flight was delayed, I got a snarky answer back, saying it left Dublin late, again eyes rolled. Not happy with your level of customer service.

"relaxed, fast and efficient"

(United Kingdom)

Not Verified | I loved this airport. I have travelled to NY many times before always into JFK. Now that I have discovered the wonderful Norwegian Airlines I arrived and departed NY via Stewart International. It is a relatively small airport but efficient and confident. There is no masses of hurrying crowds which are the tension you get at large international airports. The airport is surrounded by greenery, when you leave the terminal there is a brief walk across to pick up rental car, taxis or the shuttle bus - so relaxing. For the journey home everything was relaxed, fast and efficient. As I mentioned it is a small airport, the bar, café shop and duty free is in a small area. Some people might want more but I found it more than enough. All hands are on deck in the airport to get everyone on their way home. Great little airport and great flights and price by Norwegian Airlines.

Stewart Airport customer review

(United States)

Stewart Airport is a great little airport providing service for New York's Hudson Valley Rockland County Westchester County and northern New Jersey. Parking terminal security everything is convenient and easy. The only problem is that the commercial service has dwindled down to only a few flights each day: a few flights to Philadelphia and Detroit for connections on USAirways and Delta plus a couple of nonstops to Florida on JetBlue. It's really a shame because the next-closest airports Westchester County and Newark are overcrowded difficult to park and chaotic.

Stewart Airport customer review

Small airport in Orange County NY that is a welcome alternative to Newark & other airports if you can get a flight. Fare was hundreds less flying to PHL & connecting to IND rather than nonstop from EWR but lots of time spent sitting in airports. It is clean & staff are pleasant but not much to do. Wish there were more nonstops out of this airport to major cities but I hear it is great if you are going to Florida.
