Stavanger Airport

Not Verified | The restaurant closes at 19.45, or after the last Oslo flight takes off (?!) very sad for all of us who are going to Bergen, Norway's capital, in 2 hours. Incomprehensible and extremely poor service. Serveringen stenger kl 19.45, eller etter at siste Oslo fly tar av(?!) veldig synd for alle oss som skal til Bergen, Norges hovedstad, om 2 timer. Uforståelig og særdeles elendig service.

Not Verified | Poor supervision for security area. 15 minute wait for security check with information board indicating that it would be 5 mins. 2 security lanes were open, one fast track and one non-fast track; but not both utilised when no fast track passengers were waiting. Considerable frustration for all of us in the queue and suggest airport places more supervision in this area.

I fly from this airport regularly. They've done a lot of work on it recently but it's still freezing in a lot of places. No point in it being beautiful if people are miserable from the cold. It's cold for half of the year. Don't plan on spending long in it if you have a choice. Instead walk to the nearby hotel which is cozy.

Arrival into Stavanger was quick and efficient. Hardly anyone there which was surprising after just leaving Heathrow. Departure was okay. Hardly any seats. Not a lot of facilities.

Stavanger is a comfortable and bright regional airport. Arrival is hassle-free with short walking distances and quick luggage delivery. Departure is easy too with self-service check-in machines. Although I flew on a busy Sunday afternoon waiting time to clear security control did not exceed 15 mins. However the departure lounge clearly lacks seating areas. An airport bus connects the airport with the city centre every 20 mins; note that it only accepts cash and no credit cards.

Stavanger airport Sola is a small airport like the one in Bergen and Trondheim. Not many international flights but quite many domestic. The terminal (there is only one) is 20 years old but they have started to upgrade everything. All in all a comfortable airport.;
