Sligo Airport customer review

Sligo is a tiny airport but check-in and security were a breeze and there is a comfortable bar while you wait. After security passengers are penned in a gate which has no facilities and little comfort.

Sligo Airport customer review

I have flown from Sligo airport a few times in the past. A very clean and well maintained airport and a pleasure to fly from. Very freindly staff and parking very cheap and beside the terminal. Security fast and efficient. Cafe- bar and toilets are open to left of check in area. Sligo airport in a sense can now be called an international airport because of new flights to Manchester in the UK. Expansion of the runway is in the pipeline and the airport hopes to have a new route to London in the future. Aer Arann serves the airport with all flights a good airline with cheap return flights and usually always on time. Always a taxi near by the main entrance and bus service available from strandhill town into Sligo city centre that is about 5 miles away. Road network is basic but acceptable. Overall a pleasant airport.

Sligo Airport customer review

Outstanding views when arriving in on a fair weather day. Pass through Airport in little time due to size of airport. Friendly staff and facilities need to step up with any increase in flight/passenger numbers. Sligo City is only 5 miles form the airport or Euro10 taxi Journey. Area beside airport is popular for running golf surfing and sea sports with international surf competitions held regularly.

Sligo Airport customer review

I have always found flying to/from Sligo Airport a pleasure. On a sunny day as one flies over Sligo Bay and comes into land is spectacular. The airport is tiny with two flights per day to Dublin and two flights per day from Dublin. It is served by Aer Arann. The airport has has complimentary newspapers at the check in desk adn there is a little bar where a range of refreshments are served. The staff are friendly and the service is first class. There are no luggage carousels in the airport so all luggage is left in the Baggage Reclaim by hand. One can be in the car after collecting their luggage in under a minute. It could do with better signposting though and the roads to get to it are not the best but all in all a superb airport.
