The parking at the airport is a challenge the machine sometimes does not take your credit card and never gives out a receipt. Staff is friendly but cannot control the type or outdated equipment that they have to work with.

Sawyer is a small airport in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with flights to Detroit and Chicago provided by Delta and American respectively. There is a small store selling Northern Michigan University paraphernalia, some basic snacks, and coffee. The major car rental firms have desks in the terminal with the cars parked just outside. The parking is excellent - you walk out of the terminal into the parking lot. Less than a minute's walk from the airport entrance to the security check area. The terminal has excellent free wi-fi service, courtesy Northern Michigan University. Very friendly and efficient staff. Taxi service is available to the city of Marquette, about 15 miles away.
