A new airport terminal has started functioning now but it is a shame that after spending so much money the facilities and services have not improved. The aerobridges do not function and come cold rain hot winds one has still to walk to the planes. Families with young children have been suffering immensely. No serving airline has a courtesy coach to take passengers to the planes. The lounge itself is shabby without proper lighting. In the evenings/night it feels like a ghost house. The staff of the airlines are rude. The food courts have not started and the few stalls functioning charge exorbitantly. Outside the airport they charge you even if you have come for a pick up or drop. This is irrespective of your parking the vehicle in the parking lot. The prepaid taxi counter is a big cheat shop with flat rate of taxi charges irrespective of which part of town you are going. There is a bus stop and a bus is supposed to be parked during the flight timings but never ever seen it. When I enquired they told me that to reduce congestion in front of the terminal it is parked far away they expected me to carry my luggage to the bus. All in all a big airport terminal with the worst services.

This small airport was a model of efficiency: clean cool organised with a friendly restaurant serving Indian and Western food. The Kingfisher Airlines ground crew were excellent. The short walk to the plane will sadly end when a shiny new terminal is soon completed.
