Phu Quoc Airport

✅ Trip Verified |   Smooth arrival (domestic) in the new airport. It is the only airport that I have arrived at that there is actually free onwards buses (to most of the tourist resorts north of the airport)- about every five minutes. I did not know about this free service but if passengers have lots of luggage they need to be mindful that it could be a long haul from the bus stop in their resort to their actual hotel. I took a taxi from one of the three or four tax agencies outside arrivals - they were actually half the price of taxi-hailing apps! There were some nice airy restaurants in the arrival area and presumably these are available to departing passengers. Five stars from me.

Not Verified | The airport was small and has very basic amenities. But the worst thing is the rude staff, from checkin counter staff who work very slowly, to security check who are extremely rude, lack professionalism and give unclear instructions. Be careful with pickpockets and loud crowds.

✅ Trip Verified | Small, but modern and well equipped airport. Check in and security check are fast. There are some stores and food shops also. Clean and well . Minor point is no free wifi provided

Not Verified | Travelling there in April was awful. It is brand new but loads of problems. 1) Upon arrival it took two hours to get through visa control. 2) Leaving it took two hours to check in. 3) Four coffees in departures US$25. Hardly anything to buy - no tobacco and spirits more than in the UK!

✅ Trip Verified | Very limited F&B selections and the food is pricy and charged at USD between $10 to $20. Would recommend taking your meal before going to the airport or order in-flight meals. All other parts are fine.

✅ Verified Review | Phu Quoc Airport was built and completed in 2012 which was one of the newest international airports of Vietnam. The queuing times were not too long and the terminal signs were easy to follow. However, there were only some seats in the waiting room. The wifi connection did not work.

New airport building with good facilities. Minimal airport food facilities and retail outlets other than jewellery. Good facilities for vehicles to pick up at ground level and drop off at first floor level. Excellent toilet facilities and very clean throughout with good air conditioning. Construction of second runway in progress together with airport buildings to cater for expected increase in tourism. Downside was that there was no wifi facilities other than those offered by fast food franchises.
