Terminal 2D - is this the worst airport terminal in Europe? Crowded dirty terrible shops no catering and the only lounge is airside meaning that you have to leave the (admittedly poor) lounge 1 hour before the flight departs. This terminal requires immediate demolition!

Absolutely chaotic. In order to get from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2D I followed the available signage that took me right to the opposite direction. Apt staff suggested to jump on shuttle N1 so I headed at the area I was coming from. T2 is a mess! Staff were pretty kind this time but not particularly efficient. Looking for a pharmacy I went up and down following contradictory direction by information desk staff. Mind that I am fluent in French - no language gap. Gave up search for headache pills. After the gate was changed we waited in line in the tunnel for passengers to leave the EasyJet aircraft.

The lack of organization at Charles de Gaulle is becoming legendary. Passing through this airport during the months of July or August is almost a guarantee of having some kind of annoyance with your check-in or luggage. The airport staff couldn't be less efficient when it is about giving information. There is never room enough for passengers at the boarding gates and people have to queue on the passage to the other gates. Restaurant facilities are poor expensive and dirty. If you have an option avoid it.

Arriving wasn't too bad big queues but signposting was there if you found it. Leaving from terminal 2 was fine. Leaving from Terminal 1 was a shamozzle. It was as though they didn't expect 10000 people that morning. Firstly the baggage conveyor belts didn't work so that caused a big delay. Then there was at least 1000 people in the queue ahead of me trying to get through only 4 passport control officers but after an hour they put on another 4 and the queue shortened. I thought that they must have worked out that it would be easier to get people onto the plane on time than to find their luggage and take it off but I was wrong. Our pilot announced that half of our luggage was not on board even though we sat on the tarmac for another hour and a half. What a worry for some people. Anyway it was all a bit silly having everyone stuck in a queue instead of spending money in their shops and they know each day exactly how many people are travelling. I just said to myself never again I'll go through Amsterdam next time. Heathrow was crossed off my list years ago but maybe they have improved with their new terminal.

Recently flew from BOG and had to connect through CDG to AMS and it was a complete nightmare. As soon as we left the plane we were stopped by policemen who carefully checked everyone's documents whilst being incredibly rude. Then I had to run from Terminal 2E (gates L) to Terminal 2F in 25 minutes. I couldn't make it. Poor signalling lead to me taking the wrong queues twice. Security checkpoints for connecting flights were disorganized and slow. I had my bag trapped in a long luggage-queue at the X-ray almost for 10 minutes. Security staff were rude and were constantly yelling at passengers. When I finally reached my gate boarding was closed and had to wait five hours until the next flight to AMS arrived. Five hours of heat noise and small crowded spaces.

Travelled out of Terminal 2E to Johannesburg. The food selection was abysmal. All that was available were mediocre 7 euro cheese and pickle sandwiches. Nothing else. Absolutely shocking.

Whilst there were probably perfectly adequate signs in Terminal 2E they were mostly obscured by the seething crowds getting angry at the wholly inadequate service provided by the overworked but essentially surly and disinterested Air France ground staff. When we finally found the auto-check in machines they seemed to be very unreliable frequently freezing. Progress after Check In was similarly chaotic with further long queues for Baggage Drop off. Altogether took more than 2 hours from arrival at the airport to arrival at Security and having left Paris more than 4 hours before the flight (advice of Airport Shuttle service) we had 5 minutes at the Gate (altered at last minute) before we were directed by surly and unhelpful AF staff on to the bus that took us to the plane. We fly Intercontinental regularly and this was easily our worst experience - sufficiently bad to abandon any future plans to fly with any connection via CDG. Certainly unlikely to bother visiting Paris again as not worth the unpleasant experience of the Airport.

We traveled to Italy and had the most fabulous trip. We were in Paris for one day and went and enjoyed the city. It was pleasant (but outrageously expensive). Our departure was a nightmare. The airport is very big with little directional signage of where airlines are located. We went to a kiosk to get tickets and was then placed in a huge line app. 100 people in our line to check bags. 45 minutes later the airline asked for people from other flights and then had over 20 people cut in front of us (adding another 15 minutes of wait time). When we got to the Air France agent he was arrogant and dismissive and then said that the carousel had broken down and we would have to wait for it to be fixed. His attitude was horrible. After we checked bags we had a few minutes to grab breakfast and it was 48 euro for a stale sandwich two coffees a role and two waters. We then proceeded to gate and had to get in another massive line and didn't have time to go to the bathroom because it was so far away. We waited another hour. Plane was 1 hour late they changed the gate and we then were treated with disdain from an airport security lady. We then are placed on a bus and the bus went about 50 feet stopped and we had to walk up two flights of stairs to enter the plane. I will never return to France.

Flew into and out of Terminal 2E and having dropped off family members at Terminal 2A you instantly appreciate just how spacious and airy Terminal 2E is. Terminal staff helpful. Not a lot of choice of eating and drinking outlets once airside but overall not a bad experience.

Delays check in is done by self and there are errors with the systems. Airport is chaotic and crowded. Many tears and commotion's due to missed flights from train strikes. Fortunately having left 4 hours earlier we made our flight. This was fortunate since our plane was rescheduled to leave earlier than before. Many characters in the airport who will approach you with a clipboard to try and extort money for a fake cause while a friend snatches your wallet same as those around the Eiffel Tower. Was very surprised the airport allows them to work here.
