The problem with Orlando is the market it serves. I'm a frequent global traveler for business and pleasure. I've suffered through Orlando 3 times this year. I know how to navigate TSA checks rental car shuttles etc except at Orlando. Obviously families with small children are the norm. The security lines are long but well staffed. Despite polite efficient TSA staff Orlando security is the worst in the US. Layout was efficient prior to 9/11. Now it's cramped. Biggest fast food and shopping options are pre security. Airport hotel is super convenient. The lobby opens right up to security. You can fly in stay at the hotel and fly home without ever breathing the humid Florida air. Avoiding the Disney hordes is quite another issue.

We have been flying to Orlando every year for the past 5 years from the UK. We like the airport but we always dread immigration. Out last visit in January started with an hour wait on the airplane at Orlando because there was no room in the immigration halls to accommodate us. Then we had to queue for a further 3 hours! We are now somewhat accustomed to this chaos and make sure we have food water and a charged ipad to watch a film or two! We are always perplexed with the severe lack of staff available those 3 jumbo's arrive at the same time every week it doesn't take much to work out that more staff are needed! Not a good start to the holiday. Time Orlando sorted it out!

Excellent. We were re-routed due to bad weather. I travel in a wheelchair. Immediate assistance was available to show us the restroom that my husband could go in with me. The staff were friendly good food choices for our over 3 hour wait.

We have been travelling through this airport for the past 15 years. Last summer the arrivals lounge immigration queue took almost 2 hours to get through. Not enough desks open and whilst we waited several shut down even though there were at least 600+ passengers still in the line. Have heard situation is still bad 1 year on. Not looking forward to arriving in June. How can they treat their visitors so badly when they bring so much money into the local economy? When I tried to complain last year I was told there is no one in overall charge of the airport and so I complained on the customs/immigration website. Doesn't look like it had any impact though! When is the local tourism department going to sit up and take notice that this is not the best way to attract international visitors?

Spent a couple of hours here on Saturday 30th March. Of the 50+ airports I have used over the years this one and Singapore stand out as by far the best. I rate it because of the space the comfortable seating areas both in the main terminal and in the satellites the range of eating facilities and the ease. Of finding your way around.

SJU-MCO. Every time I go it's always a different experience. I fly with Jetblue and I love the fact that the Wifi is free. Our bags are always delivered on time and we don't have to stand in line so much when we leave is great! I really like the wide variety of shops that resemble those of the theme parks. I like the variety of restaurants to choose from. I never have any trouble finding the gates and terminals because of the ease of access! Everything is so organized in this airport.

1.5 hour wait in line after arriving from UK with a tired and thirsty 2 year old child. This was an awful and cruel experience. They know how many people are arriving why can't they improve the system and add more immigration agents? Avoid at all costs until someone fixes this! If you can't avoid it make sure you take some water from the plane to drink there's nowhere to buy anything until after immigration. Such a terrible start to what was a great holiday. Other than the wait the airport is great.

Arrived at Orlando international March 11 2013. There were about a thousand passengers in the long line to Immigration. Only half of the booths were manned. After 1.5 hours 5 of the 10 officers picked up and left bringing the speed to a minimum. Me and many hundreds of other passengers many with small children had to spend 2.5 hours in total standing up in line. This is completely unacceptable. I have travelled to countries like Saudi Arabia and Iran. The Immigration procedure is a lot better in these countries than at Orlando International. My recommendation is to avoid arriving on international flights to Orlando. Better go through a larger airport like EWR or JFK.

We have been visiting Orlando for many years now. This airport is becoming unbearable. We flew in from Manchester UK Sunday 3rd March 2013. We were the 2nd flight to reach Customs and Immigration. Both flights Jumbo's. Followed by another flight being British Airways. Probably a total of at least 1400 people to get process by just 10 Officers. This Airport does not even put into consideration or even care that these passengers have encountered a 9 hour flight and a time difference of 5 hours and many passengers flying with young children. We did not get processed until we had been in line for 2 hours. Somehow this airport thinks that level of queuing is acceptable! They need to now accept that it is switching people like us off. We have be known to visit 3 times a year. We are now contemplating going elsewhere! We are sick of them wasting at least 3 hours of or holiday hours being spent in their airport.
