Nanchang Changbei Airport

✅ Trip Verified | Terminal 1 of Nanchang Changbei airport is horrible and a complete embarrassment to Nanchang and China. It is supposed to be international but I've seen small town bus stations in a better condition. They seem to be forever renovating the international terminal meaning that when passengers arrive to check-in they must stay in a waiting area that is tiny and becomes very cramped. Furthermore there is no heating or AC in this part of the airport so you feel uncomfortably cold or hot depending on the weather. Check-in desks only open 2 hours before and once you clear immigration there isn't even a restaurant just a "shop" that sells limited confectionery and duty free products. Finally you can never get a taxi at the international terminal. If you're lucky a tout might appear but you will get ripped off or you can walk across the car park to the domestic terminal and if you're luckier still, you might get a metered taxi but they are reluctant to use the meter. Overall a pathetic excuse for an airport and I always dread flying out of here as travelling from Nanchang Airport, especially the international terminal, is an ordeal.
