Has to be one of the best airports in the middle east. Although it does tend to get a bit crowded during the holidays it is a very comfortable airport. Convenient if you have a resident card since it lets you skip immigration queues. It takes me less than 5 minutes to leave the airport from the moment I set foot in the terminal on arrival. Although the lack of boarding gates is frustrating I guess its just a minor issue since the new terminal is coming up soon. Staff are very friendly efficient and make you feel at home. Check-in counters close an hour before departure so give yourself at least a couple of hours to check-in. I have not had a negative experience here and would be happy to fly through Muscat again!
