Mumbai Airport

✅ Trip Verified | I travelled from Mumbai to Dubai. Luggage check in took much longer time for all passengers. So at 10-45 pm we all were at immigration. Plane take off time was 11-30 pm Immigration was hugely crowded. No officer was there to take care of the mess. To take care of the passengers who may miss their flight because of delay in immigration. Only 4 windows were open for some 100 passengers. At the same time other4 windows are running in peaceful manner for 10 businesses class people or diplomats. Officers managing those windows show next level of rudeness if economy passengers request them for immigration check. Airport and all airlines need to realise that they run only because of economy passengers not because of 5% business class passengers.

✅ Trip Verified | The airport is beautiful and the security is efficient but do expect to queue for as much as half an hour when there are many flights departing. In the early morning (before 7 am) many of the better food venues are shut so passengers craving for a coffee or a snack have no choice but purchase from the small stalls that sell substandard sandwiches, samosas and coffee, chai etc. at astronomic prices. I fully understand this is an International Airport and is located in a business hub of a mega polis but if you charge the equivalent of 4 to 4.50 Euros for a sandwich or 3 Euros for a coffee that would cost 20 - 30 inr at an Indian train station at least upgrade the quality and cleanliness.

Not Verified | The Airport is wonderful! Something we had always hoped our country could achieve. It’s spacious and beautifully done up. The greatest disappointment was the Loyalty lounge. Tables were filthy. Not cleaned for ages. The toilet was not accessible by a wheelchair!

✅ Trip Verified | I had extremely poor experience at Mumbai Airport from the staff. They were very rude at their check in counter and was also not giving proper information. Also gave the wrong information that ruined my whole Journey. Never recommend this airport to any one.

Not Verified | My experience when going through security at this airport was the best I have experienced. I have a colostomy bag fitted after having bowel cancer, the security guard that did my search enquired what it was then proceeded to enquire on my health and to wish me well it makes such a change to not be shunned as is the case in most airports, congratulations to whoever is doing the training and education job.

Not Verified | Worst airport I have come across. Long queue at immigration on arrival without any help specially for elderly people and with children. Fingerprint scanner doesn't work properly. took us two and half hours to get out of airport. Would definitely avoid Mumbai airport if we have a choice. Same at international departure , rude staff at check in desk then security and again immigration on leaving airport. What a stressful experience. I don't see all these formalities at many other airport. Avoid Mumbai airport if you can.

✅ Trip Verified | An airport that has no interests in it's customers or any sort of service. Not enough immigration staff, the queues were so long and no one cared. The airport staff guy helping customer baggage through the customs x-ray machine hinted at wanting to be paid, even though he was doing an airport job which he was paid be do. Went to the prepaid taxi service who refused to go the destination in Andheri West which I wanted to go, due to some road closure. One of the most stressful experience I have gone through. Surprised that with all international travelling, one of the abysmal airport experiences I have had. I wish there was a zero rating which is what this airport deserves.

✅ Trip Verified | Mumbai Terminal 1 Domestic terminal of airport, relatively small but busy either arriving terminal by bus or connected to aerobridge not a long walk to baggage and exit. Few eatries and a alcohol shop at baggage area, clean toilets, cab booking counter available just before exit, complementary terminal transfer bus to Terminal 2 available from outside. Overall arrival experience is mostly good, should have more food options.

✅ Trip Verified | The terminal is huge, and interiors are great. Unfortunately, they are let down by several factors. First of all, the airport wifi is horrible. They ask for Indian phone number to access and get the pin, but in addition, they are only providing for 45 minutes. After that, the message pops up to buy an "exciting wifi pack" of 1, 3, 5, or 7 days. What logic is this, that for a matter of few hours, one should buy wifi pack of a day. The Air Conditioner and Ventilation is horrible - feels like a sweat shop. Somehow, immigration was quick, duty free is good, but these things are covered up by poor quality of basic amenities.

✅ Trip Verified | Terminal 1 Smaller terminal used by domestic LCC. After disembarking not long walk to baggage and exit. Few snacks counter at arrival near baggage and exit. Prepaid cab counter near exit. There is also an auto rank for short distance. There is also a BEST bus stop but not suggested for someone with heavy baggage. Airport special AC bus also available for few routes, may check routes and decide. For passengers having next flight from terminal 2 free shuttle bus available after exit, just follow the sign. Sufficient chairs available at baggage area for those who needs to wait along with clean toilets.
