“ bags in 5 minutes”
1 reviews Dan Potts (United Kingdom)
Not Verified | Off the plane in under 5 minutes of arriving, no queue at passport control at either ends, bags in 5 minutes, no queue at security, duty free is reasonable (not WHSmith). Buy water at the vending machine as it's only 1.20€ and not 3.40€ as it is in the shops.

"it all needs replacing"
Gary Lacey (United Kingdom)
Not Verified | Upon arrival, we were herded into two huge queues in passport control. Plenty of people to herd you but only two actually processing passports. After 45 minutes one of the "herders" pointed the remaining twenty or so people in our queue to the automated passport machine. She then promptly walked away. Unfortunately , no one bothered to walk through them as you could simply walk around - so we all did. Spain has no record of me entering its island. Arrivals is like re-visiting the 70s, it all needs replacing. Departures by comparison, was like a different airport, well managed, very short queues and modern. Toilets are very clean.

"security for one and half hours"
C Thomas (United Kingdom)
✅ Trip Verified | On arrival at the airport on the 4th May we kept waiting at security for one and half hours, due they said by a new system. On departure day 11th May, the queues for the check-in were horrendous. Only two desks were open initially and eventually a further four. By then the queues were very long. Two desks then became priority desks for people in wheelchairs. The airport did not have a one-queue system which would have been a better idea. As it was people were just crowded in one place. It would have taken them a few moments to sets up a channelled system which would have been a lot fairer.

"complete lack of care"
M James (United Kingdom)
✅ Verified Review | On going through security at Mahon airport we were met with security staff who could clearly see we were traveling with a young baby. Never encountered this type of bad attitude before, no respect, rude and complete lack of care. There is no need for this attitude.

"what a pleasant airport"
Nick Warren (United Kingdom)
What a pleasant airport, easy check in, good facilities, cool and well organised. As enjoyable as an airport experience can be. This was in complete contrast to our "home" airport of Bristol, UK. Everything seemed so well organised and customer focused.

Mahon Airport customer review
R Barrigan (United Kingdom)
STN-MAH-STN what a fantastic airport clean quiet and easy to find your way round. I know this airport is much quieter than some but why can't they all be like this. Even had outside smoking areas in the departure lounge and it wasn't all retail retail retail like most UK airports.

Mahon Airport customer review

We arrived on Monarch which was a great flight from London Gatwick on arrival to Mahon we swiftly disembarked into a very cool air conditioned Arrivals lounge where bags took no more than 5 minutes to reach the conveyors. Everything else went smoothly and we proceeded to car rental so all in all I estimate we were on are way to Villa less than an hour of arriving. On the return had no problems at check in had a polite and friendly check in lady Aircraft was on time. All in all a very good experience of Mahon airport from start to finish.

Due to the major construction work going on at Mahon we flew out on 20th September 2005 and were extremely disappointed that the international departure lounge was shut. No duty free no retail therapy nothing. We were told that they did open it on a Saturday when all the flights came in and out but not during the week. We flew out from the internal lounge which has nothing in it at all! My advise if you are travelling mid week is to get all your duty free goods from the resorts.
