Luxembourg Airport

✅ Trip Verified | Awful experience. Lufthansa informed me that my luggage was at the airport, however none of the personnel had the capacity or the patience to locate it, especially the lost and found service that they could not complete their job since they were supposed to leave at 2200 (Lufthansa informed me that the luggage was as the airport at 21.38), despite my pleading and informing them that I had important stuff such as some pills.

✅ Trip Verified | This Airport (if you can call it an Airport) is the worst place i have ever been and it gets worse every time. Unorganized, crowded, expensive, filthy, no food, no service. Avoid this place at all cost!

Not Verified | The security team at this airport is rude, inefficient and unfriendly. You'll always have problems. You can be totally ok (same bags and clothes) at other airports yet in Luxembourg they will find something. The security staff is rude and speaks with travellers in a non respectful way.

Not Verified | Shockingly poor airport. Checking border passes on a screen visible to the public (security and GDPR breach). No border police at border checks until after the queue has stretched well into the duty free and pilots were delayed. Eventually one police officer appeared, their e-Gates remained closed.

✅ Trip Verified | We were very unsatisfied with our transit experience at Luxembourg airport. To just change the gate (make a transit) you need to leave the airport and go through all the security again. So if your connection is less than 2 hour, I would think really carefully about choosing Luxembourg airport as a transit. Employees are very slow, huge unorganized queues everywhere, no staff available to ask questions. The queue at the security check is especially annoying, the plastic bags for liquids are not provided in advance, they are given right near the machine, which makes the security control x10longer. We were very hungry and wanted to have lunch in the boarding area (were all the gates) and its the first time I see an airport without any restaurants with proper hot food, only sandwiches and chips available, take it or leave it.

✅ Trip Verified | Whole airport poorly organised. Queues for both check in and security were huge. We arrived 2 hours before our flight and were still in the queue for security 30 minutes before take off. We had to get called forward to skip some of the queue or we would have missed our flight and this was the same for a lot of people. Clearly can’t hire enough staff however they could hire two men on stilts to dance for a very bored and frustrated crowd. Ridiculous! Also the only food place when we eventually got through to the gate refused to serve us saying they were closed?!

Not Verified | Terrible security experience! I'm a frequent flyer and this is my first bad review ever but I need to share. I had a new ziplock 1l bag bought especially for this trip, all my liquids were there. The woman then told me it's not 1l even though it clearly was and told me to throw away half of my stuff including medicine 10ml (!) and a stick deodorant. She didn't listen to me, I calmly explained that this is not a liquid and I flew with it in different EU countries with zero problems. She arrogantly stated that 'in Luxembourg it is a liquid' but she had no clue what that was. I wish I asked for her credentials. Avoid her at any cost, she will ruin your experience. I want to add that my friend had the exact same bag and products and a different guy had zero complaints about it. Plus the airport has no smoking area.

✅ Trip Verified | Nice design and spacious. However thats where the good news stop. Security totally outdated and badly organized despite high staff number. Outdated scanners, no body scanner no scanners for liquids; outdated tray management. Constant showing of ID needed, no automated gates Wifi is crap and almost instantly saturated. All in all not the most pleasant experience in fact a bit outdated. Shame for a country which wants to be one of progress and innovation

Not Verified | We are currently at the Luxembourg Airport, flying with three kids and are not allowed to enter the waiting room for the departure gate as it is "too full" - although you are able to see that there are still seats left. So, the kids have no access to seating, rest rooms or beverages / food. The security / police let certain passengers pass but is denying access to all other passengers. No information at all, no signs, no info, no spoken info. Nothing.

Not Verified | So painful to go through this airport, every single thing took long queues and waiting time. From the counters to check in and most importantly the border control with few people having to check luggage of hundreds of passengers. In summary, not a nice experience.
