The queues for security are a joke all the way to the back wall down the stairs and into arrivals. There were stacks of bags from people who never made their planes. Management need to wake up and sort it out.

The queues at security when departing were terribly long which spoilt the experience at least the queues were well managed. It took so long to go through that process that I didn't have time to do anything else other than go straight to the departure gate. When returning there was only a short wait at border control although it took a while for baggage to arrive. I used public transport to get to and from the airport and it was very convenient to have the bus stands right in front of the terminal.

Luton must be the worse airport in the south of England. The traffic goes from two lanes to one you then have to pay £1 to drop off passengers. If you are lucky to get the airport then you are faced with long queues for security. The only staff who want to offer any advice are the special assistance staff who seem to have to battle through the crowds to get to their desks. There is nobody to offer any help with delays you go the special assistance desk they will try and help but will offer you the use of a phone where nobody from easyjet picks up.

The queue for security took over an hour why can't the airport management work out what the expected passenger volume will be and accommodate for this.

Luton Airport is a real disaster. The terminal building a large and now rapidly ageing retail shed are dated and in some places derelict. The whole traffic organisation with the requirement to pay £1 to drop off leads to chaos with mass ranks of passengers dragging bags and children in the pouring rain. It requires proper sustained investment to bring the gates security and arrivals areas up to even a basic standard.

Possibly the worst airport experience that I've endured. Traffic nightmare congested terminal dirty facilities appalling security queues along with being fleeced for an extra £1 here and there.

We will not use Luton airport in future. Last Sunday early morning my wife and I had to vacate our taxi and join others who were forced to drag luggage half a mile up to the terminal. On return to Luton this afternoon we had to wait an unreasonable time for our taxi because of the traffic congestion.

Get to this airport early and be prepared for extremely long queues at this inadequate airport this goes for departure and arrivals it took over 2 hrs from landing to exiting the airport. Staff levels need to be doubled at least.

My sister came to collect us from Luton after a recent holiday. Lots of delays through immigration and did not leave the terminal until 1 hr after the flight landed. The traffic was terrible getting in and out of the airport there is no warden advising people to move on or writing parking tickets. It seems that Luton is quite happy for people to overstay their welcome and pocket the money. She cannot have been the only one receiving a bill for the car park that day so many passengers were delayed at immigration. I wonder how much money they make out of this little scam.

I am a regular traveller from Luton airport other London and international airports. Luton is the worst. Security queues have always been very bad at peak times and now road traffic queues are appalling. Once in the terminal the queue for security stretched out of the security hall down the stairs and into the main concourse. At security my bag was selected for swabbing but due to inadequate supplies/equipment this was delayed another 10 mins. I left security at 6.40 too late for my flight. The Servisair representative who escorted me out of the secure area complained that it took them 55 mins to get from the staff car park to the terminal in the staff bus due to the same traffic problems. Until they can manage the traffic they should reduce the number of flights at peak times.
