Lille Airport

✅ Verified Review | It is a small airport, so time to get to the gate isn't long. There aren't a lot of shops, but enough to eat and drink something. The Wifi is good, but only free for 15min. There aren't enough spaces to sit when you wait at the gate, but I can understand that there isn't enough space.

✅ Verified Review | I chose this airport for my summer holidays back in 2016, as a familiar airline started operating a scheduled summer route and provided very appealing promo prices. It seems that is airport is mostly used by charter and low cost airlines, providing all-inclusive offers to leisure destinations. However, you can still find some scheduled international routes operated by bigger European airlines throughout the year (such as Air France of course), but the prices usually go through the roof, meaning, you can buy a train ticket to Paris and fly from there at half the price. The current trend is that bigger European airlines will use this airport just for a couple of months per year, mostly for the summer season. That being said, the airport is very small, but on the other hand there is also not much traffic, so it is as big as it should be I suppose. It is very easily accessible from anywhere within France or northern Europe. This is because Lille is a train hub in northern Europe, you can use the Lille Europe train station in Lille to reach multiple European capitals. There is a bus shuttle from Lille Europe train station to Lille Lesquin airport for 10 euros aller-retour, or 8 euros single journey, not very cheap, but not expensive either. The airport is also very nice from the outside and the inside, and you have perfect view for landings and take-offs while waiting in the gate for your flight. The airport has a very informative website, a facebook page, and a twitter page. There could be more adequate toilet facilities, in the gate I was waiting the was a single facility with just one or two toilets inside, I do not remember correctly. On the plus side the facility was spacious and appropriate for people with mobility issues (e.g., wheelchair).
