"immigration officers rude and not helpful"
Mary Sani (New Zealand)
❎ Unverified | Immigration officers are rude and not helpful at all. Their instructions are all over the place and if you ask them to clarify they get grumpier. Such a shame to have a rude "welcome" to Krabi.

"a real nightmare"
1 reviews D Peterson (Argentina)
✅ Verified Review | Arrival to Krabi from Bangkok was good, at the arrival time the airport was not really crowded and I could find my transfer easily. The whole experience was good. On departure, I took a late night flight to Shanghai. Almost all flights to China are scheduled (for some reason that would be interesting to know) at the same time so the airport is completely packed with a desperate and noisy bunch of Chinese coming back after holidays. The problem is that the airport is not prepared to handle them. The airport was so chaotic at that time that I would not be able to find the correct line for check in. Once I found one line I thought was the correct one, the mess was so big that no-one know if that was the right one. In fact it wasn't and my line was completely empty because of it. I must admit that I was amazed by the fact that in such a mess my luggage arrived safely to Shanghai. Once I passed customs, the waiting area was even more packed than the outside area and since Chinese love to save seats for their bags, no room was available without fighting for it. The boarding announcements were made in Chinese, Thai and something that sounded like English so the not Chinese/Thai people around (me included) needed to dive to crowd to find out if which flight was boarding. At least, wifi (for paid, but very cheap) was really good so I spent my time with my cell phone walking and walking. A real nightmare.

"try to avoid this airport"
Danilo Abreu (Brazil)
✅ Verified Review | Immigration lines took more than 3 hours. Horible experiance standing for 3 hours in a line. It is even worse if you have to get visa on arrivel. Be preparad to stay all day in the airport. Sorry for the bad English. If possible try to avoid this airport.

"complete and total chaos"
M Palska (Singapore)
Krabi is the worst airport we have experienced in Asia. Complete and total chaos, no common sense, huge lines and understaffed security and departure immigration. Easter Sunday, hundreds of people waiting, and 1 security staff checking passengers. Completely overwhelmed and distracted, truly shocking. Jam packed room of people waiting to have passports checked, each check took an absurdly long time. Only 3 people there, passengers missed their flights because of the total chaos. Horrible airport. No WiFi.

"Unimpressed with security"
Alicia Holmes (Saudi Arabia)
Long lines for security screening and passport control at Krabi Airport. Departures area very basic; a couple of small grocery and coffee shops. No decent food. Toilets ckean. Unimpressed with security, girl monitoring the screen didn't look up from the game she was playing on her screen once.

"this is a strange little airport"
Nuti Damrongphatr (Thailand)
This is a strange little airport. They have 2 tiny terminals which seemed confusing and everything seemed to be dislocated. Upon my domestic arrival, I get lost and almost get on the bus for international passenger heading to clear immigration. A friendly airlines staff directed me and some other confused visitors back to the right passage. On my departure, I have to check in at Terminal 1 and walk to terminal 2 for boarding. Nothing much to do or things to eat as they only have a few snackbar. Air condition does not work in departure hall making it an airport I would like to kept my time spent at minimum. However, their staff are nice and very welcoming.

Krabi Airport customer review
Ansh Jain (India)
The airport has only one small pricey small restaurant in the check-in area. Nothing else to do. We were on the international side - there was nothing to do but one small stall selling chips etc. Don't arrive too early. At least it is clean.

Krabi Airport customer review
Sean Findlay
The airport has clean toilets and is overall quite clean. When I was there I could check in fast but I heard most of the time the airport is really busy. After you when though the gate you can't return and there are no shops or restaurant after the gate. So if you want to grab a bit before you take your flight do this at the restaurant at the airport lobby.

Krabi Airport customer review
J Richardson
Take the shuttle bus from the terminal at a cot of 150 Baht if you are on your own (pay at the kiosk and they will give you a ticket AND a free map of the area). It will drop you at the door of most hotels or transfer you by van from Krabi town. Otherwise taxis are about 6oo Baht even for short journies. Very limited resources in the airport once through security there is nothing whatsoever in terms of refreshments in the departures area. Bangkok Airways does have a complimentary drinks stand for their passengers however. Check in always seems to be hectic for such a small airport.
