Koh Samui Airport

✅ Trip Verified | Koh Samui Airport was in general very cool! This was because it was completely outside. Although this is cool, it was really hot throughout the airport, which made it uncomfortable. The airport was also dirty and the toilets were also dirty and very smelly. The WiFi was also very poor. Overall, cool airport, just the cleanliness isn’t the best!

Not Verified | Brilliant little airport with thoughtful touches such as free snacks and water. Only downside was the open air departure lounges so no air conditioning i.e. humidity very high

✅ Trip Verified | Security staff are extremely rude, one threw my luggage in front of me and demanded that I open my luggage. When I removed the lighter from hand luggage he threw the lighter past me and started shouting. I’ll be taking this matter much further as it was a very intimidating encounter.

✅ Trip Verified | Koh Samui Airport is a lovely little airport and probably the most attractive airport I have ever travelled through. Check in seemed to be very efficient and no long queues. There is a large number of shops and restaurants available outside after you have checked in. Toilets were ok and reasonably clean but quite a lot of insects buzzing around! As many airport in Thailand they mix passengers on domestic flights through different parts of the airport and therefore passengers with international departures clear immigration and board the flight through a different gate to the domestic passengers on the same flight! Seems a bit odd but they have a system and it works!

✅ Trip Verified | The airport is pretty clean. Though it's small, it's pretty cute, like a park or resort. This uniqueness suits the vacation vibe of the beautiful island of Koh Samui. Different types of seating areas are available. there are a few shops, diners, and a café. Check-in and immigration were both very efficient. A courtesy corner full of snacks and drinks is available for free to all passengers. However, I wasn't able to connect to the airport Wi-Fi.

✅ Verified Review | Cute little airport, everything functions as it should. No big lines, it's nice and clean and organized. It was very easy getting into a shuttle after landing and getting to the hotel, a great price too. I'm always a fan of getting to a new place and not having a chaotic mess of people trying to rip you off on transportation, that was definitely not the case in Ko Samui.

✅ Verified Review | From the first step of the airplane at Koh Samui Airport I felt that I was in a tropical paradise. It was not a standard airport bus but a train of small wagons painted in bright colours. Airport is a complex of many small buildings in Thai style connected by open galleries. A lot of open space just covered with roof from rain. Many trees and flowers. Even an aquarium in WC. There are minibuses for transfer to Samui hotels and of course you can take an individual taxi with fixed price.

Koh Samui is usually an excellent airport; the tropical ambience, laid back staff, garden setting and impressive views of the planes make this a quirky experience. The recent floods and mass cancellations have, regrettably, brought this airport to it's knees however. Under normal conditions I thoroughly recommend this establishment.

I've been coming to Koh Samui for over a decade but my first time since they expanded the airport. The airport is spread out with quite a distance between departure gates and check-in counters. The security counter staff member was rude but nothing compared to the baggage security staff. I was asked if I had a power bank in my backpack and I said yes, then asked to show it, but was trying to put my belt back on. The woman kept saying hello, hello, hello mister show me, and I said can I put my belt on first, stopped and showed her the power bank to stop her carrying on. I must say the way she carried on was very unprofessional and rude to say the least.

✅ Verified Review | Koh Samui is a real unique airport, almost everything is open-air. As they dont have any air bridges all passengers will be carried by little unique trolleys from and to the planes. They do have a roof on most parts of the airport but no walls, a very airy experience and a fine contrast to the usual.
