KLIA Kuala Lumpur Airport

Huge airport with great facilities. The toilets is clean and the airport staff are nice. Look forward to visit KLIA again in future.

LCCT: Very basic airport. Immigration is pretty slow and isn't very clean. Although not bad for a budget terminal.

LCCT: Miserable facilities grossly over subscribed passenger numbers this airport is the definition of cattle class travel. You pay little you receive little. Travel via KLIA if possible.

Too many designer shops and expensive restaurants. It really says something when burger king is the only place with people in it. And as it's the only reasonably priced place to eat the queues were crazy. Also you have to walk to the gate to find a decent amount of seating. Not impressed with the airport facilities at all.

I arrived 8 hours before departure only to find out that you can only check in for international flights 3 hours before departure. The public departure area is very crowded and with few seats. It looks like the secure area is almost empty. The airport management must be out of their minds; what a waste of facility and shopping space/time to have 60% prevented to go past security.

Visited on 18 June afternoon and returned on 21 June. From check-in until immigration no queue at all. All going very smoothly. Boarding gate at G8 which means no need to take a aerotrain to the satellite terminal. The entire atmosphere were quiet and not many people at that times. Back on 21 June arrived at gate G10 the entire terminal was very quiet. Very impressed with the cleanliness and free wifi.

Efficient airport our flight outbound was delayed and we had only 45 minutes to transfer but both passengers and baggage made it. We were transferring Intl to Intl - cannot comment on Intl - domestic time scales. 4 Hours to kill on return found to be very expensive in duty free shopping. Used one of the lounges which was very hot and filled with screaming children - so ended up back in the terminal to try and find a quiet spot. Aircraft loading and gates are quick and efficient.

Disappointed with KLIA. Had to wait 3 hours for transit at KLIA and was disappointed by the poor service shopping and restaurant choices available. We had to take the aerotrain to the satellite terminal to look for more choices. Restaurants were over-priced and when we finally settled on a noodle restaurant it took 30 minutes for 2 bowls of curry noodles to be served because they forgot our orders. Not a word of apology too. Airport staff were sitting down chatting playing with phones and occupying seats on the aerotrain while passengers with children had to stand. Toilet seats and floor were wet while the cleaning staff was standing at the entrance eyeing people entering and leaving the toilets. Nobody greeted or acknowledged our presence when we enter or leave a store. It's my first time transiting at this airport and if given a choice I would rather not use it again.

KLIA is a good place to transit in very clear signage and the Aerotrain was fast and efficient to transport you between the satellite terminal and main terminal. Terminal and boarding gates were clean but KLIA definitely has to improve on its toilets. Toilets need to be of similar standard like Changi because the toilets in KLIA looked very 2 star and not 4 star. But still usable. Overall a very good place to transit in ambience and atmosphere very similar to Changi with free Internet.
