"very long queues"

Not Verified |   I am writing about terminal 2. After checking in luggage, as one proceeds to security check after immigration, there were only three counters. No wonder very long queues existed. I was asked to empty my water bottle. As I proceeded after the security, and I emptied bottle, I saw at least four water kiosks till boarding gate. Not one of them had water. All showed message ‘low water’. They force customers to buy expensive water bottles at airport stores. This is clearly the breach of passengers rights. The charging ports installed in front of boarding gates also didn’t work. Overall, not a pleasant experience at the terminal 2.

"dissatisfied with this experience"

Trip Verified |   I landed in KL T2 from Thailand with a 2 hour transfer. I had to switch terminals to T1. It was confusing where to go. I asked the staff and she told me T1 was upstairs. Upstairs, another staff laughed when she saw my boarding time and laughed. She said it would be hard to make the flight and I should take a Grab. I had to run to immigration and fill in the MDAC and wait in a very long line. Service was poor and unhelpful till this point. At arrivals everything was unclear. I asked staff and he told me I would have to pay 180 for a taxi to T1, he brought me to the taxi. I had to take a taxi 20 minutes to T1 and go through immigration and security. I am now at my gate waiting to board but very dissatisfied with this experience. This system is inconvenient for the traveler and should be changed.

"impolite attitude of her"

Trip Verified | Landed in KLIA. Changed gate to B for domestic flights. Arrived at the immigration transfer counter. Can’t get through the self automate passport screening for some reason so I have to go to the counter for verification. Only one officer working at that time and one last passenger to get his final check. There’s few officers coming in to the counter, and so I was about to get my turn to the counter, the officer just waved his finger on me which eyes on screen, I assumed he asked me to stay back. So I asked what happened? A female straight away said didn’t you see we’re changing shift? Very unprofessional. I reprimanded for the impolite attitude of her, yet she tries to defend herself without apologising. And she added why didn’t you use the automated self check. So I answered in a dumb way, why don’t you ask the machine? If you don’t like to work in customer service please start to find another job, as the uniform you are wearing doesn’t match your attitude.

"modern Airport with terrible signage"

Trip Verified | Arrived at Terminal 'A'. Needed to get to Terminal "C' Gate 24 There was no signage within Terminal 'A' to assist travellers to know how to get to Terminal 'C' We asked 3 x Terminal workers where to go for Transit / Terminal 'C' and we got 3 x Different answers! The 3rd person we asked told us the correct answer. We needed to take a bus form Terminal A to Terminal C. What a joke.. Lovely modern Airport with terrible signage. We also struggled to find the Golden Lounge which had no signs to its location..

"inefficient and confusing design"

Not Verified |   It's been a while since I have gone to this airport and my experience wasn't too pleasant. Clean, open and modern design. Poor inefficient and confusing design felt like it was designed by people who have never flown before. - lack of clear signage - Immigration staff were unmotivated, slow and unfriendly. Hard to locate where to catch taxis or rides hare.

"Horrible, inefficient airport"

Trip Verified | Horrible, inefficient airport. It took two hours to drop our bags and get to our gate. Extremely long queues and unhelpful staff. Will go out of my way to avoid ever travelling through this airport again.

"KLIA has been getting worse"

Trip Verified | Arrived on time but got stuck on the tarmac for 20 mins due to gate fully occupied by other aircraft. What a joke; and KLIA has been getting worse without any improvement; I wonder when the airport will ever woken up to be a world class airport again, it has been ranked as the top 8 worst airport in the world now.

"not improved in terms of immigration"

Not Verified | I have been travelling thru' this airport for the last 10 years and the situation remains the same and has not improved in terms of immigration, which is extremely slow and most of the officers are rude and entitled and take their own sweet time to verify the documents. Some even chit chat across the immigration cubicles and you wonder whether they are chitchatting or asking you some questions. Just 2/3 F&B outlets before immigration and after immigration only 1 Starbucks and if you get past that, there are only popup stores with no seating. Once you are at the boarding gate, waiting for the flight (which is always late-Malaysia airlines), there is no access to toilet or drinking water. You will have to exit the boarding gate and then re-enter by clearing the security and so on. The parking at the airport is dark and dingy with very low lighting. Once you collect the baggage, you need to go all the way down to get to the grab and cannot just walk to the floor where you arrive and if you have mutiple luggage, you have only 1 elevator that takes you to this floor, so you keep waiting for your turn.

“Super long queue”

Not Verified | Super long queue at immigration counter for departure. Once cleared immigration and proceeded to area near the G gates, there's no cafe and only pop up stations, inadequate seating areas, long queue for female toilets. And the airflow is quite poor.

"KLIA is a disappointment"

Trip Verified | On arrival, one must walk a long way to board a hot shuttle bus to go to the main terminal. The shuttle bus bay has a strong whiff of toxic diesel fumes, and the bus is uncomfortable, not enough seats, and no space for passengers with big luggage. Upon arrival at the main terminal, passengers may have to wait a long time to go through Malaysian immigration. Departure procedures are as inefficient, with long lines to clear immigration. Once one clears the security checkpoint, one is confined in the gate area until departure, with no access to washrooms or food/water. There wasn't even a water cooler to refill water bottles. The wifi signal was very weak and kept disconnecting. There was also a significant lack of seating for passengers, in both the main terminal and the satellite terminal. Overall, KLIA is a disappointment, and I would suggest travelling elsewhere if possible.
