"Check in quick and easy"

(United States)

Not Verified | Arrived 0520. Terminal dark except for immediate vicinity of Iberia check-in desks. Check in quick and easy. Security opened at 0545 and was quick and painless. Terminal still mostly dark, including bathrooms. Lights come on and small cafe opens at 0600.

"lines aren't too bad"

(United States)

I've come to use this airport multiple times, normally it's not too much of a hassle. They are a smaller airport, so they are not open 24/7 which means if you have an early morning flight you may be waiting outside before they open. Apparently for some reason this airport in particular has an issue with losing luggage. On my recent flight, there was at least 4 other people and myself who's luggage didn't arrive. Another passenger in the same scenario told me this is about the 3rd time they lost her luggage. Only good news about that is she said that it normally arrives the following day, but so far it's the next day and mine is still missing. Cabs are expensive, some staff speak some English, lines aren't too bad.

Jerez De La Frontera Airport customer review

(United States)

Small airport, easy to find everything. Overall, a majority of the airport had no issue. However, a single experience can ruin it. In my case, the airport staff at lost luggage was very unhelpful. I had a bag missing, and they had no set-up for an overnight bag. Going through the lost luggage department was like pulling out fingernails. After an hour, they finally open a case number, that you can track online. The number provided to their office would ring for a long time, then either hangs up or is picked up by somebody who knows very little English. While the lost luggage is the fault of the airline, the process in Jerez is painstaking. The taxi prices are outrageous. Mine did not speak English, so have your Spanish handy.

Excellent little airport and the relatively new train stop just a few hundred meters across the parking lot from the terminal building makes it even better. It's a shame more airlines aren't using this perfect spot as Jerez is convenient to Cadiz Capital Sevilla and even Malaga and the Costa del Sol.

I agree with the previous reviewers comments. This is a great little airport. An added bonus is that there is now a direct train link to Jerez centre as well as Cadiz and the surrounding cities.

Andalucia's hidden gem. This is the perfect antidote to the horror of Malaga. Bags arrive within minutes of arrival the staff are friendly and the airport is tiny. Departures likewise are quick security takes minutes and you are a short walk to the plane. Anyone going to Spain between Estepona and Seville should consider this an alternative to fog prone Gibraltar or Malaga even if it means connecting in Madrid as the time lost driving out is gained by the speed of airport service. Only minus is the lack of smoking areas (you can go past security though multiple times without hassle) and airline lounges due to space.
