Jakarta Airport

✅ Trip Verified | You can't transfer between domestic and international sections without asking people and the instructions for Garuda lounge was terrible. They showed farthest gate and changed without clear announcement. By far the worst airport I've experienced.

✅ Trip Verified | International terminal 3 is a boiling pot. Air conditioning is a joke in this place. We were drenched in sweat from the walk to our gate. Then sitting there we were sticking to the chairs. Signage is also so poor. Hate traveling through here.

✅ Trip Verified | Most of the airport was hot. Only felt moderately cool at the quiet area - which wasn’t quiet at all. It was right next to noisy escalators and on top of an area where staff (I assume they were staff) would congregate and loudly converse. The rest of the time I thought staff were loudly and the airport was nice enough. Lots of restaurants and little shops although most closed at night (I arrived and was in transit for 6 hours). Outlets everywhere and potable water available.

Not Verified | Travelled for business. The airport is still boiling hot. You are drenched in sweat before you get onto your plane which is not fun if you expect to land and go straight to business meetings. The air conditioning near gates 5/6 also now smells like garbage/sewage. The security check system has now became archaic and has made queues much longer. Basically you put your bags/wallet/belt etc on the trays like normal, then men have to go and queue in one line and women in another line to walk through the scanner. This means that you have to walk away from your luggage, and queue with other people. This has created a chaotic system of significantly longer queues and unattended baggage slowing down the scanning system. On a not-very-busy weekday, mid afternoon, this already took 20 minutes (compared to the usual 3-5 minutes). Imagine what this would be like in peak hour. If they don't want unisex patting down of people, why not copy Changi. Let anyone go through either scanner, have a man and women by each pair of scanners. The men go to the man and the women to the lady. It works so much better than what they are doing now.

✅ Trip Verified | Outside and inside building temperature is the same. Great way to experience Jakarta from inside Terminal 3. Fans instead of AC are used throughout. Hot, hot, hot.

Not Verified | This airport is an embarrassment for Indonesia. Terminal 3 is so hot. Immigration staff playing on their phones. E gates are so slow that they are unusable. Everyone is sweating and waiting all the time. And such long walks with terrible signage. The old terminal 2 was 1000 times better. Really disappointing what is happening. Someone should hold the owners accountable and fix it. It has been like this for 3 years and it is just getting hotter, longer queues and not any better.

✅ Trip Verified | This is the worst airport I ever been to. It's so hot inside the terminal. Do something asap. The air-conditioning is not able to provide cooling for the terminal size. Besides, the lighting is too glaring.

Not Verified | Jakarta terminal 3 is a new airport terminal, but the terminal is too hot. The air conditioning is not capable compared with the size of the building. It is too hot inside even in the business class lounge.

✅ Trip Verified | Great airport! Clear with all signage but please add shops along the arrival gate to assist people that want to buy some handicrafts from Indonesia. Besides that, please add golf cart for passengers.

Not Verified | I was going to Surabaya using Citilink. The airport is modern and clean. I really love it. It was the best airport I've ever visited! I recommended this airport!
