Izmir Airport

✅ Trip Verified | Flying Izmir to Ercan. The International section is Very clean and modern. Quick and efficient passenger service from checkin through passport control and all the way to boarding. It’s always a pleasure to use Izmir Adnan Menderes airport for arrivals and departures internationally. The duty free shops are spacious and have many shopping options. The toilets are clean and stocked. I have no complaints always hassle-free flying out and through Izmir. The Wi-Fi is also a bonus very fast and user friendly to access.

✅ Trip Verified | The prices for food and drinks are eye watering. The duty free prices are higher than our high street shop prices. They have the worst WIFI of any airport I have ever been to. You can't get on it for love nor money. Shame really. Its a lovely airport.

Not Verified | I was travelling back to London Stansted on the 10th of October 2020, my mother had surgery in Kuşadası and on our way back she lost her phone. Another passenger handed it to customs and I asked the staff to hold the plane until I got the phone back. A lovely gentleman from Izmir airport ran all the way and got the phone back for me, he was such a lovely person. He was running and I got it just before the doors closed.

✅ Trip Verified | I use ADB regularly and I find it daunting. The wifi is terrible and you only get 2 hours. On this trip, I only got 28 minutes. The food costs are pure theft and the money they charge for a small bottle of water is ridiculous. I paid 32 lira for 2 cups of hot water as we bring our own tea bags (we dont like Earl Gray). The airport is modern and should be busier with more flights as Turkey is a great country to visit.

✅ Trip Verified | Very nice, big and empty space. Food options limited before security. Check in Agents showed up less then 2 hrs before international departure flight. I'm unsure of the policy at this airport, but seems tight for 2 agents to check in an entire flight. Wifi not accessible with no sim card. Airport Information agent unaware of internet and how to access. I asked how to access, she mentioned there's no wifi. I showed my screen showing black and white where it said free airport access for 2 hours. She still mentioned no there's no wifi at this airport only in restaurants. I paid for lounge access, the agent was kind to explain, you need a sim card otherwise even the lounge wifi will not work. Food options pass security and the lounge is very limited, disappointed despite all the empty airport space available.

✅ Trip Verified | Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport seems a bit far from downtown but it has a connection of a local rail system called "İzban" and it takes about 30-50 minutes to reach the airport. There are lots of food and beverage options on the ground. Prices are high in my opinion but you can find something suitable for your budget. It's very clean and safe. Also, there are lots of taxis and buses you can use.

Not Verified | An excellent Domestic terminal, very large and clean. The security screening upon entering the airport for a 11am departure was fast and thorough. Plenty of check in counters, and efficient agents manning them. The food is very expensive, but I don't buy at the airport, so no problem. A very nice airport all in all.

Not Verified | Izmir airport is way over priced for food and drinks. Most of the food outlets were empty and I cannot understand why the airport magagement dont make it more affordable. I would probably use it rather than bring my own food as I will not pay these extortionate prices. The airport is clean and very thorough security wise. Their WiFi near impossible to get as you need a Turkish phone to recieve the special access code they send you giving you only 2 hours of access. The access code procedure was so difficult I couldnt even make out the verification letters even with my glasses on. Their tightness with the WiFi doesn't do them any favours. Very petty on this point.

✅ Trip Verified | Izmir-Adnan Menderes is architecturally a very pleasing airport with lots of glass and steel giving it a very modern look. The food and shopping were very good, the restrooms were spotless and clean, and it was very easy to navigate. There is free wifi but only for two hours.

Very very quiet compared to both Istanbul airports. Much cleaner as less people use it. Access to city is decent with local transportation. Much less traffic in every sense of the word.
