Hamilton Island Airport

✅ Trip Verified | We were flying home on 25 July from Hamilton Island. Our flight was with Virgin. As it was pouring rain we noticed at the airport did not have any cover at all. As we noticed Qantas was parked very close to the entry not that far of a walk but still no cover at all for passengers. Very disappointed that every single passenger was saturated getting on to the plane. Virgin did not park close it parked far away. Very disappointed won’t be back

✅ Trip Verified | A small domestic airport on Hamilton Island, Queensland Australia very small but tidy and efficient. Check in was a breeze and through security very quickly. Lots of seating and only a couple of gates as planes restricted to daytime flights only. Basic refreshments available and toilets although small were nice and clean. You had a nice view of planes landing and parking close to the terminal and could see bags being loaded unloaded and the plane being refueled. Very small but pleasant airport to wait for your flight.
