"heaven compared to Toronto"
Anne Marie Blackburn (Canada)
✅ Trip Verified | Loved it. Takes no more than 10 minutes from entering to get to the gate. When you depart, 10-20 minutes. It was like heaven compared to Toronto where there are long lines, lots of computers and where it takes so long to get to the gate and where you dread the line-ups getting off the plane for the same reason. It is convenient, it is quick, clean and has a Tim Hortons.

"lack of cleanliness"
Cheryl Sutherland (Canada)
Not Verified | This place is so dirty and all the dam fruit flys are everywhere. There is a woman at security that is so rude not sure how she has this job. I definitely would not come back here for a layover. I have traveled 3rd world countries and this Hamilton is the worst one yet. I am so disgusted with the attitude and lack of cleanliness

"baggage process was extremely slow"

✅ Trip Verified | Nice small airport. Close, convenient parking. Super fast customs on arrival. Unfortunately the baggage process was extremely slow. It took 30 minutes to get my suitcase.

"the rudest person I have ever met"
B Kemp (Canada)
❎ Not Verified | I am a 22 year old girl and this is my first time using this airport as well as flying anywhere by myself. I arrived and got confused on where to go for my luggage. I asked a security guard for help and he was honestly the rudest person I have ever met. He sounded so annoyed that he had to tell me where to go, instead of listening to me he got mad at me and wouldnt let me speak and began to yell at me. Flying by yourself for the first time is hard enough without the airport personnel making it even harder.

"never again"
SJ Edmonton (United Kingdom)
❎ Unverified | Super small airport, and wonderful if you are meeting someone from Hamilton. Car rentals from site were out of cars and were no help. Cost 40 bucks to take cab from airport to in town car rental agency. Tim Hortons only outlet in airport on arrival side or vending machines. Flying with Flair and can only get tickets printed and drop off suitcases two hours before flight. What we thought we were saving to get to a Blue Jays game in Toronto, cost us more by flying to this back wood airport than what it would have been to fly WestJet to Toronto. Never again, will stick with West Jet - friendly and helpful and reliable. And the Blue Jays lost which made the trip even more horrible.

Hamilton Airport customer review
Brad Thompson (Canada)
Hamilton International is a great little airport and very convenient for people trying to avoid the hustle and bustle of Pearson. My family is located in southern Ontario and I always use this airport. The only complaint I would have is the decision of management to serve no alcoholic beverages.

Hamilton Airport customer review
B Kaye (Canada)
Very convenient to reach from anywhere. I would call it a "no frills" airport. If this airport is to compete as an "International airport" it has to invest money in renovation and updating of the building! In general: I am thankful for the close proximity of this airport.

Hamilton Airport customer review
D Brittan (Canada)
Very nice alternative to using Toronto. Limited flight destinations but check in for domestic and intl flights is simple. Security clearance on departure and arrival is a breeze. Parking is a short walk. Not much by way of services in the terminal but you also do not need to arrive 3hrs prior to a flight. There are no gates so be prepared to walk to your plane via the tarmac.

Hamilton Airport customer review
S Hazra
Used Hamilton Airport as an alternative airport to Toronto. A much smaller airport than Pearson (a good thing) resulting in much less walking (and waiting) and much easier to get in and out of. A great option if you're visiting Southern Ontario (or Niagara Falls) if you want to avoid the Toronto traffic and is 80 km from downtown Toronto. Not the greatest airport for public transit links to Hamilton and Toronto and beyond likely due to the airports small size. Airport was slightly built on the cheap has exterior siding and drop celling interiors reminding me of a bus terminal and has very limited food/shopping options. Despite these minor complaints overall a good alternative to Pearson for direct flights and would use it again.
