Hamad Doha Airport

✅ Trip Verified | The best airport I have been to in the Middle East. Bright, spacious, easy to find your way around. plenty of shops for all tastes and budgets. I liked the art works spread around the airport. My only suggestion is that the directional signs to the metro station should be clearer and more visible. It was hard to find the entrance to the metro station walkway, due to the lack of signs.

✅ Trip Verified |  The lounges are nice and a lot of luxury shopping but I never seem to have time to visit because often the aircraft arrives in remote stand with endless ride to terminal and the departure may also be a bus ride away. They also use Boarding on screens to make people to head to gates long before boarding actually starts. Last night I came to the bus gate when the screen was saying “Final call” but still had to wait for the bus. Toilets were quite messy due to the number of passengers. Four transits within 2 months via DOH is more than I can stand.

✅ Trip Verified | You’ll spend 30 minutes looking at a video board with 6 screens but needs 10 for all the flights. Staff are extremely courteous but not enough screens to show all flights.

✅ Trip Verified | Very pleased with Doha Airport travelling as a Transit passenger on the outbound from Manchester, UK and on return from SYD, Australia in April 2023. A very well laid out airport with lots of seating by comparison to the new T2 Terminal at Manchester, UK which is our most un-favourite airport terminal building. Transit was very easy in both directions. Bags of choice at the Duty Free, although we only needed cigarettes on our return transit for the person who keeps an eye on our property when we travel. The airport was clean. Toilets clean and manned by staff each time. Good signage. Small security checks made during both of our transit visits, taking a minimum amount of time. Passengers are boarded by Zone numbers (printed on the Boarding Pass) on Qatar Airways flights. Our transfer time was 3 hours in each direction so on the outbound part of our trip, we headed off to seek out The Gardens, which we loved. Duty Free prices in QR (Qatari Riyal) or USD.

✅ Trip Verified | Normally I am very happy on this airport, this time it was not well arranged. When boarding, the zones 1,2,3,4 where not used. Instead everybody was just standing before the gate, nobody from the Qatar Airways was telling how to do. Then for some reason they decided to let some people pass the line. And then the bus was not arranged, so we had to wait very long for the bus. Hopefully next time will be much better. Especially the boarding with different zones.

✅ Trip Verified | A very well maintained airport and extremely courteous staff. I would like to specially mention Mr Abdul who is a buggy driver. He was with a group of travelers in his buggy ,but when he saw me walking slowly with my luggage, he offered me help and dropped me at the business class lounge and showed me where my gate is located. He needs a special thank you from my side and an appraisal from Qatar airways / Hamad Airport. Such people make our long and tedious journeys worth remembering.

✅ Trip Verified | A great, clean and efficient managed airport. Many passengers use it as a transit airport between e.g. Asia and Europe. Many spend the night here. I found no facilities for those who want to take a nap here between flights and don't want or can afford an expensive lounge. In the terminals there are only chairs. Ok for a few hours but not so spend the night. Staying here for 7 hours was not a very nice experience.

✅ Trip Verified | Problem with wifi. They brazenly put next generation wifi despite the wifi being patchy even in the central area, logging me out every 2 minutes even when I’m using it. It takes at least 5 minutes or multiple connection attempts to open a single website. When I tried to reconnect it would take multiple attempts to get connected. I don’t have any wifi problem like this in any other airports.

✅ Trip Verified | Long walk to gates and long waiting time for boarding’ shuttles. Not sure why they schedule the boarding at a far away location than take a shuttle to come back to initial location. Understand that smaller aircraft is placed in middle of tarmac but the same issues happen when boarding bigger aircraft.

✅ Trip Verified | I can't understand why this airport can be rated as the best in the world. Overrated airport, it is overloaded now. Full of passengers all the time. Even the facilities is modern and a lot of shops, however main purpose or functions for airport has not been operated well. Lounges are always full, long queue to wait, no place to take a nap, noisy. Check-in time will be very long if you do not fly with Qatar Airways. WIFI is not working most of the time. No quite rooms are quiet Pos: very fast immigration time with full automation process (in World Cup 2022 time)
