Not Verified | This is the first time I have ever travelled through Gran Canaria airport and I must say it’s a pathetic excuse for a departure lounge. They are renovating the departure lounge but I am concentrating on the area already renovated. They have no idea what good service is, if they think waiting 40 minutes to be seen in O’learys Or 30 minutes in Burger King is what travellers expect then they must live on cloud cuckoo land. They have made some nice restaurants in the refurbished area, but tended to plan in adequate seating. Really, the airport is a prime reason to never visit the Island, which we won’t be.

"What appalling service"

❎ Not Verified | What appalling service! Jet2 had everything sorted, boarding was on time, but the airport had other ideas, 30 minutes wait to provide a bus to the plane, and frankly we could have walked a lot faster, then further delays while that bus emptied and returned as there only appeared to be one! They they had the cheek to tell our pilot that as they had made us miss our slot they were pushing our flight time back by over two hours! After a great deal of complaining we were told we might be able to go sooner, but currently are still sat on the aeroplane with no signs of any movement. We always go to Tenerife and this was a change, the hotel was lovely, we said we would return but now I’m not sure. Lots of other poor reviews on here about the airport, Gran Canaria you need to do better. Not to mention that you probably cost the airline many thousands with your lack of buses/drivers and we are still in danger of losing our crew if they go over time. Try harder please if you want tourists to visit you! Nowhere to sit either, not nearly enough seating, and what was there was dirty! Plus way more expensive than Tenerife airport so you lost my custom there too! WiFi didn’t work either.

"a poor airport from start to finish"

✅ Verified Review | What can I say that hasn't been said already. All in all its a poor airport from start to finish. From lack of service in food halls, excessive waiting times. It simply causes unnecessary stress. It also misplaced my boarding card and passport whilst going through security. Gran Canaria was ok but I'll never visit again purely based on the departure experience.

"complete chaotic check in"

Complete chaotic check in, fortunately we carried out online check in day before. Drop off was ok. Toilets at the gates dirty without toilet paper. Free Wifi too complicated, they want to know everything. They need more professional organisation with quality checks.

Flew in yesterday on the Easy Jet flight LGW-LPA. Arrival was a complete joke we had to wait 25 minutes for the Passport Control to open despite the flight been on time. Then only one official turned up to man the gate! LPA is worst than any 3rd world country I have visited.

The staff here at this airport seem to be on a constant go slow. You could be waiting in the queue for 90 minutes. I travel here 4 times a year and it always the same yet when in Dublin or London or Madrid or even Agadir they are nowhere near as bad. There is no excuse. It is such a bad airport for checking in. Staff do not seem to care.
