Not Verified | Why can’t I use cash/money at this airport? Just want a drink and don’t have a card with me but refused - surely if I have money you have to accept it?

Not Verified | I recently had the misfortune of traveling through Gothenburg-Landvetter Airport, and I was utterly appalled by the inefficiency and lack of professionalism displayed by the airport security staff. Not only did they seem disorganized and ill-prepared, but they also exposed my children's snacks to unnecessary radiation by scanning my bags not once, not twice, but thrice! It's one thing to ensure the safety of passengers, but it's entirely another to subject personal items to repeated and excessive scans without a valid reason. I understand the importance of security measures, but there needs to be a balance between safety and respect for passengers' belongings. The staff's lackadaisical attitude and disregard for my concerns left a sour taste in my mouth (quite literally, considering my irradiated snacks). I sincerely hope the airport authorities take note and implement better training and protocols for their security personnel.

✅ Trip Verified | The security staff are too rude. In 5 years of Gothenburg commuting, I have Goosebumps every time I go through security check. The 100ml liquid limit for women is absolutely ridiculous and exaggerated, knowing you can buy tons of liquid after security check. Any other country in EU does better than Landvetter. Today it’s August 25, 2023 and Gothenburg’s airport isn’t keeping up with modern flying conditions yet.

Not Verified | I fly frequently from Landvetter and the staff is just the rudest I've ever met at any European airport. They are often unaware of international rules and I've never experienced such a recurring combination of aggressiveness and blatant incompetence. Airport staff are usually polite and helpful, even at busier airports like Frankfurt or Amsterdam. I'm giving 2 stars out of 10 instead of 1 just because the facilities are very clean and the waiting time is reasonable - it's a rather small airport with very little traffic. Food options are limited, generally unhealthy and expensive.

✅ Trip Verified | Arriving, not a bad little airport, very calm and not at all manic. Got through the border quickly and on to Arrivals Hall. There was a delay to the delivery of the bags, but an electronic sign for belt 3 advised at wait time bags would be delivered, and they were delivered at that time! Vintage Volvo sitting on a plinth at belt 3. Departing, terminal was bigger than I expected, and again very calm and not at all manic. However, to get land-side, there are three electric gates, one for Fast Track. Then there is a flight of stairs and an escalator to reach a gallery along which you walk to Security. As I was leaving, escalator was turned off as there were a lot of people going through at the time, and there was a queue on the stairs.This was the only downside. The terminal is being upgraded, but this was only obvious at the Schengen gates 19, 20 and 21. If you are leaving from 19B - do not forget to got through passport control!

✅ Trip Verified | Arriving into Landvetter was fine had to get a bus to the other side of the airport to go through immigration. As I was on a non-schengen flight we had to go through immigration. This part is quite small with 4 European check desk and two non-eu that are hidden in the corner and there are no signs to show that the non-eu passport holder check is on the side. Waited in the wrong queue for a few minutes till I had to ask and the immigration office put me right. Immigration was quick with very friendly staff on arrival and departure. I'm the baggage reclaim you can see the bags come out from the conveyed overhead which is cool. On departure airport, queue times were quick with security very quick as well. Gates 24-5 has a small eating area with minimal seating and lack of plug sockets and as you have gone through immigration you can't leave this part. Plenty of food and shopping options very modern clean airport that is nice to travel through.

✅ Trip Verified | Excellent small airport - clean, spacious, good restaurant, 2 airline lounges collectively available to a great many airlines. Arrival was to jetway 15. Departure was by bus to plane from gate 18E (the gates 18 uses buses to go to aircraft). The departure flight needed de-icing, since the aircraft was not parked at a gate, it could be de-iced in place before taxiing. Frequent reliable bus service to/from city. Security personnel (on departure) efficient and courteous. Time in security line < 5 minutes.

✅ Trip Verified | I think everything is ok but not the baggage claim. It is too long waiting for luggage. When we arrive it said on the board that luggage would be there 20:13. When no luggage was there at 20:25 I went back to the board and it said that it was on the track - it was not. We waited 10 minutes more. So we landed at 19:50 and was out of the building 21:00 That's too long waiting.

✅ Verified Review | I got extremely frustrated by how none of the toilets in the entire airport were suitable for a toddler. My daughter is too old to wear diapers but also too small to use a big and scary adult-sized toilet seat. None of the toilets were equipped with a child-sized toilet seat or even a plastic potty, so she ended up peeing herself in frustration both on arrival and our departure a few days later. The airport is small but otherwise meets all expectations you might have of a modern airport, so I found this particular lack of preparedness extremely strange.

✅ Verified Review | Landvetter airport is a rather small one, well organized and neat. Security checks have seldom long queuing and are generally fast. Lots of toilets are available, very clean, with taps to fill-in bottles with water. So do not hesitate to pass security with an empty bottle. Shopping options are limited as the airport is small but the choice is more than correct. This airport seems well managed!
