Not Verified | This is by far the worst airport I have ever been to in my life with the worst employees I have ever encountered. Tried to pick a fight with me while helping my grandmother who is in a wheelchair and decided to cuss at me and call me names because I was simply trying to find information out. Absolutely uncalled for and outrageous and I can for certain tell you I will never be coming back to this airport again which is a shame due to this is always a connecting flight to Richmond va. I would rather go out of my way than to ever come back to this hell hole of a place. I’m extremely embarrassed by the staff and how they handle situations. But I will say shout out to the one guy who helped us out after getting cussed at by other employees he was great and they should have more like him. Thank you for making me smile after such a horrendous experience!

✅ Trip Verified | We were traveling to Belize for vacation and we ended up missing our flight even though we were at the airport 3.5 hours before our flight with a parking ticket as proof. The international line had no ending point with people jumping line, unable to do pre-flight check in, and we told multiple airport employees we were going to miss our flight to Belize after we saw multiple people get pulled from the line and given help to get on their flight to the Dominican Republic that morning. No one would help us and the airport nor airline which was American Airlines will take responsibility for their part in us missing our flight. I will fly out of Knoxville from now on and so will my husband and he flies weekly.

Not Verified | Dominica Airport has several names, Douglas Charles, Melville Hall. The closest town is Marigot. The captial, Roseau, is actually on the other side of the island, Minibusses take appx. two hours for the distance - make sure to exit Minibusses outside of the airport premises to avoid an extra 15 EC p.P. fee. There is really not a lot going on at Dominica Airport: The check in hall features a total of 4 counters. Apart from a bar, there are no other amenities outside of the security area. Inside of the security area, there is appx. 50 seats, a small shop with local products, and another small duty-free shop. Customs and security procedures are quite cumbersome. Please note, that during security screening, all products with a flammable-warning are seized, despite any size limitations - with a smug remark that, of course, nothing flammable could be allowed into the cabin. The waiting area is climatized, but thats it. Outside, there is a small car rental. Free Wifi is available close to the door to the security area and inside, the provider is Digicel, without a password. Free Wifi is also in the bar next to the check in counters. All-in-all, Dominica Airport is not a great experience.
