"not a comfortable airport"
Miguel Salcedo-Gomez (United States)
Abraham González International Airport is a border town airport which only convenience is to avoid paying an international fare for flights within Mexico. Access is complicated and creepy, not a nice area of town. Juarez has gone through hard times with respect to violence and this might make staff look stressed and transmitting fear. Little directions, poor communication, limited services. Not a comfortable airport at all. They claim to offer many services which were not available neither at departure nor arrival. Money exchange bureau closes very early which makes it an ordeal to get Mexican pesos. Had to get an entry stamp on my passport and the immigration officers were not available. Had to wait for over 30 minutes for someone to show up and grant me official admission to Mexico.
