"no proper food outlet"
1 reviews Shaikh Kayum (Qatar)
Not Verified | I was traveling with my family having 2 small kids. Pros: less traffic, since many don't transit. Climate is good. Cons: no proper food outlet, only snacks; airlines doesn't provide any food for long transit. For wifi you need that country cell number.

"there is no problem with the airport"
Peter Ingram (Australia)
This is a so-so International and Domestic Airport. I have used the International section 3 times in the past 2 yrs. Firstly Regent Airways is always late opening their lines for international flights to Bangkok and you have to rush. Upstairs you have the customs and security. Not too bad, can be slow sometimes but otherwise you get through. There are no shops and for Business Class passengers there is no lounge facility, if there is it is never open. On arrival it can also be a quick check through security, slow computers etc but staff are nice in the foreign passport line. Bags are quick but no priority bags first, all come at once and then you have to join the queue to put your baggage through a screening area to exit the airport. No buses or transport available unless you have arrange pick up from your hotel. But there is no problem with the airport.

"terminal requires upgrading"
6 reviews Alain Descrieres (France)
Basically a well designed terminal that requires upgrading. Immigration and visa on arrival procedures are quick as foreign passport holders go to separate counters both for arrival and departure. Luggage delivery is fast but then you will have to queue for at least 30 minutes as every piece of luggage has to go through the only screening machine in the customs hall. No taxi or airport shuttle is available and you will have to rely on touts or on military staff (very friendly) to help you find a vehicle to take you to town unless you have prearranged transport with your hotel. Departure hall is not airconditionned and was infested by mosquitoes. 3 out of 4 duty free shops were closed and the single airline lounge has been closed for a long time. One positive point: all areas including toilets are kept very clean.

Chittagong Shah Amanat Airport customer review
F Coleman (United States)
Nice international terminal but domestic isn't very spacious. There is a snack bar and a duty free shop in the international terminal and nothing in domestic. On way in the customs is fast longest wait I've had is 30 min. Satisfactory airport but would not want a long layover here.

Chittagong Shah Amanat Airport customer review
Kevin Muckenthaller (United States)
Airport is a 20 km (9 miles) scenic river-side drive south of Chittagong City Center reachable by taxi or car. No local hotels or serious restaurants available within the vicinity. There are snacks and confections available in a couple of spots on the grounds side within the terminal. Renovated recently the interior is unusually modern and comfortable for a regional airport in a small country like this. The new aero-bridges serve the airport well and efficient and courteous staff make it easy to find one's way through the facility. Toilets are fair to middling but that's expected. Overall not bad at all!
