Chandigarh Airport

✅ Trip Verified | In this scorching heat, ACs don’t work. Travelers are sweating. Even lounges don’t have working AC. Very uncomfortable atmosphere with direct sun rays.

✅ Trip Verified | The airport has declined in quality since I last used it. The Plaza Premium lounge has been shuttered and in its place, a bar operates as a lounge on the ground floor, which doesn't take Priority Pass anymore. There are pigeons flying near the departure gates, which pose a health hazard. Food and drink choices are limited. All the shops sell the same type of sandwiches and "burgers," which all look unappealing. The restaurants are horribly overpriced compared to the city. Special versions of drinks carrying high retail prices are sold in the shops to take advantage of the passengers. There is no decent café airside. The only Starbucks is outside the terminal building so that doesn't do you much good. While the number of flights out of Chandigarh has increased lately, the airport is on its way down. It would be better if they'd pay heed and improve the situation after security clearance. At least put back a decent lounge, if nothing else.

Not Verified | Very bad to non existent customer care service. I have been trying to get in touch with the airport regarding a lost bag but have been unable to do so. No one picks up the customer care number provided in the website and no one replies to email. Very poor service.

Not Verified | Extremely poor luggage handling process. It takes so long for the luggage to arrive, it’s almost like they have no staff to mange it or have no training. Took 45 minutes today. As long as it took me to fly from delhi to chandigarh. Cannot call it an International Airport. Need to work on it

✅ Trip Verified | Airport was dirty. Dustbins were uncanny and overloaded. Washrooms were extremely unkempt and filthy. That’s not how we expect an International Airport to be.

✅ Trip Verified | On 17/11/2020 I was going to Chandigarh. All my journey was good but in the end at the time of exit at Chandigarh airport gate one man was supposed to do the thermal checking. I simply asked him if he could take my body temperature on my hand in place of my forehead. I don't know why he started being so rude.

✅ Trip Verified | No free WiFi, poor seating arrangements, cafeteria providers are a joke and serve no value to money spent. Caffe in charge observed talking rudely and in high pitch voice to the counter staff which is totally unprofessional and gives a feel of road side dhaba at the airport- zero professionalism! This is the quality of a so called international airport.

Not Verified | It is very disappointing that Chandigarh airport has no free WiFi facility. It has many free WiFi latch ons but none connect. It may be only international airport without free WiFi.

Not Verified | Even though the International flights to this airport are just a few, the arrival of baggage is a nightmare. IX 188 (SHJ – IXC) landed at 1:45 (delayed by 20 minutes). Baggage arrival 2:40. Why such a delay?

❎ Not Verified | The music is so loud that you cannot read a book or take a rest, call anyone or do anything, even if you put in earphones. Now-a-days, everyone has a smart-phone, where they can listen to music, so why play such loud music. The other silent airports like Delhi are much better in this regard. Even if you have to play music, better play Indian music (Punjabi, Hindi or other local music). Why have western cacophony which is completely illegible and gives passengers a headache. The water-pressure in the tap outside gate 3 was so low that one cannot drink water. No water glass is provided anyway. Now that summer will increase, proper water supply is a must. Otherwise, the airport is clean and spacious.
