Bonriki International Airport

✅ Trip Verified | Congratulations everyone on the wonderful new airport at Bonriki! The building is such an improvement on the previous facility and now provides travellers to and from Kiribati with a modern, beautifully designed space to start and finish their Kiribati adventure. I understand their are more features such as a cafe and lounge still in progress but in the meantime could airport management please think of a way to provide water to passengers in the departure lounge as we just experienced nearly 2 hours in hot conditions without water. Many thanks - can't wait to return and see the next stages of the development.

Not Verified | Kiribati is a very small country and as expected the main airport (Bonriki, Tarawa) is very small. It is about the size of a very small warehouse but it was undergoing re-refurbishment. Being a very small airport, the staff were very friendly. After checking in and having passed immigration, you have no option except to go out of the airport and hang about until boarding time which I found rather charming. There are no facilities other than clean toilets but nothing matters in this Paradise of a country!
