"Food prices are ridiculous"

Not Verified | What a horrible little airport. Queue for xray, queue for check in, queue passport control, queue for security again! Food prices are ridiculous, absolute rip off. What a horrible place, I won't be coming back to Bodrum ever again.

"hardly any eating outlets"

Not Verified | We departed from Bodrum Airport & decided to try & get some food. There’s hardly any eating outlets & what there is are extortionate, we looked at 3 chicken burgers but at £63 we decided against it, bottled water was also expensive. Surely lowering prices would encourage people to buy.

"Overall a very good airport"

Not Verified | What a lovely little airport, the whole experience seemed organised with little to no queuing areas as passengers seemed to just self manage to the different areas of the airport. From check in to departure the airport was very clean with little wrong on this front. I found myself very impressed with the smiling security team as I went through pre security and main search area as well. Arrivals was good as well with clean arrivals area straight from the plane. I was really impressed with this airport when comparing to some of the UK airports, it has a much higher standard. Wifi runs on a free voucher system which worked a treat, very easy with no need to sign up. Shopping is not great as there is just a duty free shop and F&B is limited and expensive. Overall a very good airport.

“staff miserable not friendly or helpful”

Not Verified | Worst airport I have been to, I won't actually be returning to Bodrum as the airport is so poor, price ridiculous, very warm, machine for water only takes card, have to queue to scan passport to get code for Internet which was needed as we were delayed and had to contact family, the code lasts 1 hour then need to queue again, the machine is very temperamental, staff miserable not friendly or helpful, will not be returning to Bodrum airport again.

"ridiculous prices by any airport standards"

Not Verified | What a shame this place leaves you with such a negative feeling of Turkey. No place for filling up water; ridiculous prices by any airport standards for any liquid or food; staff generally acting as if they don't want to be there and finally a random intrusive search of body and hand luggage in the waiting lounge by people who should be working for correctional services. Also free wifi requires espionage search to find the kiosk you need to get a required pin to connect.

"Worst experience ever"

Not Verified | Worst experience ever. I felt totally unsafe in a sort of hostile territory. Firstly, resent having to scan my passport in a random machine to access WIFI. The vending machines are in Turkish only. Something went wrong after scanning my card, I asked several officials. All i needed was help with translation, not my job, ring number, etc. It seems they were sort of enjoying it as the people I had asked were all around me on their phones (though at work) while i was obviously distressed. Uncomfortable too.

"Very unfriendly staff"

Not Verified | Very unfriendly staff, almost aggressive. Very slow check in. 20 euro for cheeseburger and 5 euro for a coca cola, 6 euro for a coffee. Never experienced this before and we travel a lot. I will never go there again. Better go with Izmir airport.

"This place is an absolute joke"

Not Verified | This place is an absolute joke. The new amenities are useless, there are lots of staff doing nothing and the Covid-19 checks and extra security checks means everything takes 3 times as long with long queues. The only water you can get is from a vending machine or the only food booth charging extortionate prices. This place is the worst I've ever experienced including Moscow! The new management should be held accountable and sacked.

Not Verified | Perfectly adequate facilities spoilt by sullen, even aggressive staff. The place is expensive and food availability and options poor as you would expect. In contrast Izmir airport two hours to the North is altogether different so if travelling to a destination anywhere north of Bodrum give that consideration. They also have more extensive flight options.

"Woefully inadequate seating"

Not Verified | Problems with arrival and departure. Arrival: Arrived an hour late at 23.00. Three flights worth of passengers, about 500 people, arrived in passport control together. Six passport gates. All staffed but none working. Lights above each gate indicating which type of arrivals for which gate. Lights kept changing. Staff kept arriving and leaving each gate. No info displayed or given. After around 60 minutes, they started processing us. Total time from arrival to transfer coach, around 2 hours. Pretty inexcusable I’m afraid, given that they knew the flights were arriving, and when. Departure: no signage as to which queue to join, reliant on wandering Jet2 staff for info. Airport staff at initial security check very surly. Food and duty free area too busy, food and drinks expensive, duty free prices a lot higher than UK high street on average. Woefully inadequate seating. No helpful info. A further security check was suddenly invoked but only for gates 201 and 202. This was so slow that it would have jeopardised our departure, had we not already been delayed. No info at all about delay. Around 90 mins at gate with 8 staff and no info. No toilets for this time without going beck through security checkpoint. The security check at the departure gate was the FIFTH and last. Question, if you need to do a fifth security check, are you not admitting that at least one (I’m being polite here) of your previous checks was a little bit of a waste of time? Only actually arrived at Manchester about 40 mins late, but that’s not an achievement, it’s an indication of the fraudulent amount of slack built into the flight times, a practice which is only “bettered” by the UK rail industry.
