✅ Trip Verified | This is the worst security control in the world. Long queues at every time during the day, old style security systems without the "slot" organized security checks, rude employees. I travel here 2 times a month and it is always always bad.

Not Verified | Security check at both extremity of terminal then very long queue a security check - food court with minimal choices and very poor seating - also very limited seating in waiting area.

✅ Trip Verified | This airport is the worst in Europe I’ve encountered in all my years travelling. I arrived two hours early for my flight and spent two hours trying to check in and clear security. Arrival was fine, but my departure was worse. There were over 300 passengers waiting at a check in gate, with just 3 lanes open for two flights. One hour to check in, 45’ to security and 20’ to gate A35!!! I've ever seen waiting for the check in and security checks so long that they made me miss the plane. Unpleasant staff, long distance to gates. The design of this airport (although recent) could not be worse. Nobody wants to help you, everyone treats you badly, it is clear that it is an airport that does not work, the staff is stressed, very serious, no kindness. Seriously is this a new airport? How can it be so bad? I guess they don't want you to visit the city! Avoid if possible.

✅ Trip Verified | Like others this is a nice looking airport and clean. It defies all the great transport and organisation in Berlin I have experienced in 10 days here. Germans should be ashamed. Confusing signage, no explanation that gates are up to a Km walk away if yours is 40 something. Very few food and drink outlets and all closed at 8pm on a Saturday. Only duty free and that’s at the start a long way from passport control and no return. Like others I have to say one of the worst airports I have used for facilities.

Not Verified | Flew with Aer Lingus to Dublin. Check in is really slow about 1.5 hours. Security is disorganised and slow takes another hour. For the ravel to Ireland extra passport check takes another 20 mins. This is off peak non holiday time. I would hate to be travelling during peak seasons. Staff are friendly and spend a lot of time talking to each other. Very laid back attitude. Airport is clean. No moving walkways so for people with impaired mobility you may have to find someone to push you as it can take 20 mins to walk to gate at normal pace. Sad for a new airport that they can’t seem to get the basics right. Safe travels and if you fly from Berlin- take at least 30 mins more than average airport if you have check on luggage. I fly regularly from Berlin. It’s better with hand luggage

✅ Trip Verified | Snail's pace security! Passenger in front and the next one is not allowed to go ahead until the one in front of him has passed, although there are 5 empty trolleys and the second employee was only there, although everyone in the queue said that they would miss their boarding. There is a lack of logical thinking, dynamism and willingness to work. Schneckentempo security! Passagier vor und der nächste darf nicht voran bis der vor ihm durch ist, obwohl da 5 leere trolleys stehen und der zweite Mitarbeiter nur da stand obwohl alle in der Schlange meinten dass sie ihr boarding verpassen. Es mangelt an logisches Denken, dynamik und Arbeitswilligkeit.

Not Verified | A sad excuse for security control. People were missing their flights and stressed out if their minds to which the security did nothing. They didn’t care and we’re dismissal and arrogant. I will do everything I can to avoid this airport at all costs.

✅ Trip Verified | What a sad experience. Obviously the staff was apathetic because of the conditions they were working under. The whole construction is made for less effectiveness and long queues. It was almost hilarious to se the solution for the security check. It is made for trouble. I hate to say it, but I will do anything to make sure I don’t have to go to or from this airport again. Good for the environment though.

Not Verified | Security process is so slow leading to very long queues. This results in people missing flights and then delays for those lucky enough to get on the plane with bags being off loaded. If you thought the old Berlin airport was a joke then just try this one!

Not Verified | Worst airport experience in years. The waiting time for security was over 50 minutes. Unacceptable. Even more this being a brand new airport. Who designed this? A shame for Germany
