Beauvais Airport

Not Verified | 18th April fiasco. Ryanair was 40mins late but the level of competence of Beauvais is worse than a 3rd world state. 2 hours late for a flight to Birmingham because apparently the security staff didn't scan 2 bags properly and after failing to warn people we had to go through the whole process again. The management should be fined. They should face sanctions. The company should be fined. Beauvais is a terrible experience. Avoid this airport if you can. Ryanair to Birmingham 15.20 still hasn't boarded at 16.51 and they are telling us we all need to pads through security again. I've visited dozens of airports across the world and Beauvais is the worst it is the pits, it is toilet. Disorganized uncomfortable and bady managed and awful if there is the slightest problem. It needs a new company to take control.

✅ Trip Verified | Arrival was ok, at the entrance you have a very small place to collect your luggage and do passport check, but anyway was fast and good. Departure is a nightmare, small terminals very crowded, big lines for no reason from the "security" checks. Waited around 1 hour in line just to pass security. The bathrooms were very old, unclean and smelly. Overall the airport facilities are very outdated and old. Avoid this airport if possible..

✅ Trip Verified | Flying into this Airport was absolutely fine. We travelled here to then bus to Paris which was fine, BUT departing from Beauvais is an absolute nightmare. Our Ryanair flight was set to leave at 17:00 and gate closed at 16:30. We arrived at the airport at 15:00 and we where presented by a massive Q, at first we thought that's fine we will slowly head through to Security and get everything checked etc. Sadly not, the Q didn't move and when we asked why not, staff where very rude and said only certain flights go through first. We were still in the Q at 16:15, and more people had joined the Q for the flight to EDI. The staff then came to us at 16:40 and then told us to hurry and skip the Q to Security. Let's say it was a mad rush and we were still going through security checks at 16:55 and the announcement said Ryanair flight at 17:00 now closing and no more boarding! We literally had to run to the plane! We just got on. The flight took off about 15mins later and from what the cabin crew said, around 20 people didn't make it onto the plane. I would strongly recommend not departing from this airport. Seeing posts online this is not the 1st time this has happened to people. If you do decide to depart from this Airport the good luck!

✅ Trip Verified | Quite surprised! Yes, the airport does look like a warehouse but it does the job perfectly and it's heated inside, no delays, no queues for security, and actually; a variety of shops / restaurants. The only con about this airport is that it isn't really in "Paris" but an hours ride on the coach and you're there, and it isn't even that expensive! In my opinion I'd rather save €200 than be a bit closer to the city. Coaches leave from Porte Malliot near the Arc De Triomphe, and costs €30 return, and they leave very often, you must be at the coach station 3 hours before your departure, really good in my opinion!

✅ Trip Verified | I have travelled through chaotic airports such as Delhi, Cairo, Guatemala City and Nairobi. I’ve experienced stress and chaos in airports as diverse as Kathmandu, Jakarta and Ulaan Bator. Yet, all of them pale into shambolic insignificance when compared to Paris Beauvais Airport. From unnecessary queues lasting for hours on end to utterly rude and verbally aggressive staff who take pleasure in singling out passengers to make an example of them, this airport deserves gold for being the perfect example of everything an airport shouldn’t be. A small minority of the airport staff themselves can’t even comprehend the idiocy of their colleagues, particularly those working in the security area. If I hadn’t have spent half my day here I’d have almost enjoyed watching the farcical sketch of utter ineptitude on all counts. Avoid this airport at all costs, it’s not worth your mental health!

Not Verified | You cannot call this an airport, no English speaking staff, no information regarding the flight, queue lines for 3-4 hours, no priority taken into consideration, everyone screams, no equipment. Staff is the worst, nobody knows what they are doing, running around the airport shouting at everybody. They can't and will not try to understand English or any other language except French. I have never seen something worse than this, unacceptable. Every person working here seems to be eligible to ask your passport and boarding ticket. 10 random checks and did not even got to security yet.

Not Verified | Expect the unexpected while travelling through Paris Beauvais. The lack of standard and organisation was so far from 21st Century that it is not one thing I can point to be in order. Chaos, misery and fear. Too many flights at the same time for such a small terminal. It is a trap for those that do not expect this huge gap from any standard. I cannot see any improvements that can make a significant difference except rerouting the flights and rebuilding the airport. By any means do not travel with children through Beauvais.

Not Verified | Total shambles of an airport. This shouldn't even be classed as an airport. No wifi, no PA system , no aircon. We where heralded like sheep in stagnant lines. staff rude and ignorant and hardly enough of them . 4 hours waiting in this sea of people in unbearable heat desperate as our flight time was approaching fast. Then panicked verbal shouting for people on each about to leave flight where called forward. Pushing, shoving, scuffles ensued and to add insult to injury one female security just wouldn't release our bags while our names where called 6 times as our flight was just leaving without us. We had to leave them or miss our flight. We just took our purse , passports and mobile phones. Luckily we where returning home. But just imagine if you where at the start of your holiday.

Not Verified | Complete mess, chaos, rude and incompetent staff! Avoid at all cost and line up for passport and security check at least 2 hours before departure. Super slow passport control with waiting times in range of 60+ minutes. Security check was terrible, pretend not to speak English, refuse to respond to my request to throw away what they don’t like in my hand luggage and let me go following a last boarding call with my name. There was no reaction from staff, who continued to unpack and pack my carry on size liquids with no clear purpose. Things were all packed in a transparent bag in line with travel requirements. I don’t wish to ever again travel via this airport which is also super far and poorly connected with central Paris.

Not Verified | Worse travel experience in the worst airport ever. Arrived 2.5 hours early and barely made the flight by the stated gate closing time. Flight/gate was held 30 minutes otherwise less than 40 passengers would have made it by the official gate closing time! The airport is clearly too small to handle multiple flights. Hundreds of passengers squished together, limited staff (one for fast track and one for everyone else to check passports) is unbelievable, total chaos, travellers all stressed and the staff looked like they couldn't have cared less and no extra staff put in place to help even though they would know the numbers of people trying to travel- management needs replaced. Avoid at all costs. I know you expect budget when you fly a budget airline but this was unreal. Horrible end to a great holiday. Would rate them minus if I could.
