Barbados Grantley Adams Airport

Barbados airport is appalling. The check in staff are rude the shops are non existent. We were travelling business class with BWIA and the check in staff told us the business lounge was through departures - having gone through we were told that this was not true and the lounge was in the main terminal and we could not go back!!! Our flight was delayed by 3 hours so had to sit in grotty plastic seats for nearly 6 hours with nothing to eat or drink as the shops had shut - we would never go back!

This airport is absolutely dreadful. The facilities are basically non-existent both in the arrivals and departure areas. It was not even possible to buy a bottle of water when we arrived at 10:45pm. On departing after security there is a small seating area that should really be demolished. All shops had closed by 10:00pm. To be fair they are obviously renovating the entire facility but the basic amenities should still be provided.
