✅ Trip Verified | Denver to Washington. They have shrunk the width of the seats to such an extreme you feel crammed. There is literally no wiggle room and I'm not a large person. I feel sorry for the man next to me. Boarding on time, flight crew pleasant. They need to make room for real people and stop monetizing their passengers.

✅ Trip Verified | Tel Aviv to San Francisco. I was excited to try the Boeing 787 new Polaris at united. We had a nice welcome with the team and find my 6B seat The configuration is a bit tight- 2x2x2. Usually I see 1x2x1 in this 787 for business class. The seat was comfortable but the issue the for 185 cm and up- there is no space of your legs. Really disappointment. Service was so so, when I asked for the flippers that are in the menu ( we are so proud of verity of things we can offer to you just ask the air crew…- as it was written…) air crew forget what you asked - overall disappointment

"Worst service ever"

✅ Trip Verified | Chicago to Des Moines. Worst service ever. Flight was delayed 3 hours and they switched the departure gate 3 times. All participating United Staff seemed thoroughly confused and did not know details about the flight. I would not recommend United to anyone of my friends or family at this point.

"they lost track of my baggage"

✅ Trip Verified | Everything was good with the flight, my issue was that they lost track of my baggage and I ended up receiving it 10 days later, they did not give me any compensation for the issue and every time I called them to ask for my baggage they were clueless to where they were and when they would arrive. Very disapointed because of this.

"They moved her seat four times"

✅ Trip Verified | Flew United Airlines from San Jose California to Houston Texas. I bought a ticket for my aunt who has Alzheimer's and bought her premium economy so she has more leg room and made sure she had an aisle seat to grab an attendant if she needed help. They moved her seat four times! Each time I had to call and say, she can not be put in economy, that is not what I paid for, and she can not be in a window seat! She has to be able to flag an attendant if she needs something! They tried putting her in a window seat, economy instead of premium economy, etc.. Dealing with a person that has Alzheimer's is bad enough, dealing with a horrible airline that I had to call several times to argue about why they cant move her seat is just horrible. They have notes in their system that she has this medical issue and I think they are trying to take advantage of that!

✅ Trip Verified | Worst flight experience of my life. Sat on the runway for two hours in Baltimore, so I missed my connecting flight in Newark to Norfolk. Was forced to spend the night in New Jersey, and the airline refused to give me a hotel voucher. I had to pay $100 for a hotel due to the airlines negligence. The customer service was incomprehensibly rude. It was as if they thought this was funny. I have never experienced an airline as terrible as United.

Raleigh Durham to New York. The worst of any service that I have encounter. They were late for my first flight which result that I could not get on my second flight to Hong Kong. I got my travel agent go online and there are flights available but the site agent will not honor. The first agent is ignorant and the second agent is trying to verbally fight with me. I'm paying for this ticket but treated badly. I should have know when I chose this United Airlines; this name is not fitted for them.

"Our flights were great!"

✅ Trip Verified | Honolulu to San Francisco. Our flights to and from Hawaii were great! Even though there was an issue with the WiFi they made sure everyone was able to log on quickly and gave iPads for those who couldn’t log on. Also we ended up confusing our flight that was on Alaska and a similar flight and time was at United. When we realized this at the United help desk it was too late to get to our Alaska flight within seconds they put us on their flight and offered to move our bags to that flight as well. Also those German waffle cookie things are heaven.

✅ Trip Verified | Boston to Hong Kong via Newark. My flight BOS-EWR was delayed due to late arrival of the aircraft and I had a short connection in EWR to continue towards HKG. The customer service is unhelpful, as if the delay is your fault, not theirs. They refused to board me on an earlier flight, they could not offer re-routing nor sponsor the ticket with another airline to secure my journey. The delay was ultimately tight for my connection, but every UA representative I spoke to suggested the other flight would have likely waited. It did not. It left six minutes earlier than scheduled. Despite asking to the flight attendants while on flight whether my connection would have waited, the response was that United - differently from every other Star Alliance company - does not offer this "service". I landed and there was no representative to direct delayed passengers. I rushed to the gate to make the unpleasant discovery that my connection departed earlier. I thus went for the customer service. I stood on a line for 3h and 15m. Around 45 minutes after landing, a text message invited me to check-in for my next flight, from which I derived I was booked for the same flight the following day. After hours of waiting, I reached a representative that handed me a voucher for the hotel and US$ 30 for three meals: yes, $ 10 per meal. Not to mention, the hotel was sketchy and sub-standard. The flights were possibly the worst I have ever experienced in 14 years of flying. In over 16h flight (plus boarding, taxing, etc.) they serve two microscopic meals and one snack. No snacks in the galley. Never seen such misery. The crew was confrontational at all stages. They said: "We are nice to people who are nice to us", which is reasonable in abstract, but they seem to forget we are not fellow travellers! I am the customer, they are the flight attendants. As I have reached my final destination over 25h later than initially scheduled, I sought compensation from United. Unsurprisingly, their customer service is dismissive. I was told I can buy insurance next time. I do have insurance, but they cover unforeseeable events, not negligence of the carrier. I have been trying to hold them liable under the Montreal Convention, but so far all they offer are pointless vouchers in the illusion that I would ever subject myself again to the pain of dealing with such an unpleasant, unprofessional, unapologetic company. United airlines punishes you for making the unwise choice of traveling with them. Despite you pay for a service, they drop on you the cost of their inefficiency. Leaving aside old aircrafts, primitive forms of IFE that have disappeared in the rest of the world, broken controls, dirty and hard seats, meals that not even if you live out stamps. The point is the lack of consideration, the way they treat a paying customer at every stage of the experience, from check in to customer service when you try to claim damages for the disservice they caused you. Finally, UA cheats selling tickets with connecting time they cannot really respect or guarantee. They are cheating to rank higher on search engines with prices and journey duration. On any international flight, make sure you have 2.5h connecting time minimum. Few reviews will tell you UA is less worse than they say: don't gamble with it. Choose better.
