Singapore Airlines customer review

LAX-NRT on 4/4/15 and NRT-LAX on 4/22/15 A380. Based on a limited sample of two flights we can say the hard product is outstanding the service is good to excellent depending on the crew and the food is nowhere near the best of international first class. The seats are very comfortable and the beds are terrific. Both my wife and I had a very good nights sleep. The suite is quiet with only the gentle hum of the 380's engines. The outbound cabin crew were efficient warm and eager to be helpful. The inbound cabin crew was good but certainly not exceptional. They did their job well but that was it. Food was the big disappointment. Limited selections (unless pre-ordered) and ranged from ok (lobster thermidore and beef short ribs to poor (vastly overcooked steak). Caviar service good but not the best in the air. Wines were excellent. All in all very good but still disappointing.

SIN-CPH April 2014 777 was in good condition. Nice layout in business class. Beds were good I am tall and just fit the bed system which isn't always the case. Service was good and food was decent. Nice lounge in SIN.

I flew from Manchester England to Sydney Australia via Singapore. And having flown from Sydney to Manchester and Manchester to Sydney many times only ever using Emirates and Qantas I found a cheap deal with Singapore airlines and thought I'd give them ago. Now being from England Emirates are one of the most advertised and so I thought was the best airline. How I have been very wrong. In economy the seat sizes seem pretty much the same but with Singapore I found the seat cushions were a lot softer. The major difference I found with Singapore was the service. They were always smiling and welcoming. And this being a night flight they didn't sit down for four hours for next meal time they circled with drinks and snacks in between more than once!

SIN-SGN-SIN on B777-200 and A330-300 with vastly different experience. I have been a very loyal customer to Singapore Airlines but I have to say that please phase out the B777-200 series. The aircraft is obviously old and weary as compared to A330-300 series which is very new and more comfortable. The rest is just average but understandable given it is a short haul flight and I am not very particular about food and cabin crew help. Singapore Airlines still wins me whenever I want to book an air ticket.

I flew Singapore Airlines for the first time ever last August. Since then I have flown another 2 times to Shanghai return from Brisbane. I can not fault them. The food service and seats are great. The planes between Brisbane and Shanghai are always full but the service is never lacking. The A380 between Shanghai and Singapore is great as well when I select the exit row upstairs. I will never fly another airline to China again.

I flew business class from Singapore to Delhi two days ago and the service was extremely poor and shoddy. We were flying in from Brisbane by Singapore Airlines and took the flight to Delhi after a stop over at Changi airport. So I was in a position to compare the service on two flights of the same airlines. While on the flight from Brisbane the service was good on the flight to Delhi the hostess was pretty bad in her interpersonal conduct very poor communication skills overbearing almost irritating. On a late night flight a little courtesy helps a traveller relax but it was surely lacking. Pretty disappointed after all the slick advertising the real experience was shockingly bad. Money badly spent.

I have flown SIA for years in and out of Asia. Usually good service but I have found it difficult to understand why they still have some old aircraft's flying routes - it does not represent Singapore well when it has one of the best economies in the world. The frequent flyer programme seems to have been altered also over recent years to make it so much harder to get gold status unless you pay lots more for tickets on economy. Recently I have noticed that they are handing out in-flight earpieces that I have had a bad experience with and dislike. Two flights recently when I used these I could not hear the movie clearly at all despite trying a new set. From then on I ask for the old headpiece sound sets which work well. Surely SIA can provide the best headpieces to go with its 'image'.

We flew From London to Auckland via Singapore. on an Airbus 380. The review is based on all 4 flights as there was little to choose between them. The service was consistency high; attentive friendly and helpful The best I have flown and I am a regular traveller. The only disappointment for me was that the Book the cook meals were somewhat disappointing. I would have been better off with the standard meals. My wife found the beds hard and difficult to lie diagonally but they were fine for me. I would choose Singapore every time if I could.

LHR-SIN-AKL on A380. We paid extra for exit row seats on upper deck money well spent. They are doubles with massive space in front. These flights were the most relaxing long haul we have taken. IFE and service excellent.

Less than impressed. Rather tired looking 777 to Singapore. TV kept changing between colour and black and white. Seemed understaffed for the number of passengers on board. Return flight on an A380 - no sound at my seat. Again seemed understaffed for a full plane. Trying to change flight date even with changeable ticket was painful.
