LHR-DXB via DOH. Both legs of the flights were operated by an aged A340-600. I think Qatar should start thinking of not sending these aircraft's to such long haul routes. Aircraft was very tired from inside and the leg room was awful - so tight. Your flight would be ruined if the person in front reclines their seat as there will no room for you to move or watch. Food was of a very low standard. Coming back again aircraft was an A330-200/300 leg. Frankly speaking the leg room was much better on this aircraft however again old and tired from inside with cabin crew not being attentive to passengers.

LHR-DOH-BKK in economy all the way on their brand new A380. Two great trips. Only problem is that the food is terrible and portions extremely small. Why do they bother? Best take your own. I had a rubbery chicken which tasted like something else. Space in economy seats on the A380 is extremely generous equivalent to BA WT+. Very impressive. Connection at Doha was very easy: off the plane and straight into departure area for connecting passengers no security check there. I am a BA Gold card EC so am allowed to use First check in First lounges and priority boarding. However Qatar is so fussy about its premium passengers I was not allowed to board via priority First class boarding even though I was in small economy cabin at the back of the upper deck where First and Business are located. I had to board and disembark via usual channels via lower cabin which means if you are in economy in the upper deck you will be last to disembark. Cosy small cabin though. Is this in breach of Oneworld rules regarding perks of being Emerald? The word that first came to my mind is segregation. They take incredible measures to protect their premium passengers from any contact with the rest of us ordinary mortals. I have never seen anything like this in my many years of continuos travelling in First Business and economy. Staff are professional. I had access to First class lounge at Doha which is gigantic nice but mayhem at peak hours. Amazing service though. The good thing about it is that there are several areas one could choose from. I went for the one adjacent to the business centre which was very quiet indeed. Both flight were not full. LHR to DOH was almost empty. A good experience I am happy to repeat especially when the price for tickets was one of the best I have seen in years to get from LHR to BKK.

ZRH-DOH first time travelled on this Dreamliner. Pretty excited about that. Nice ambience and facilities though it is already started showing its age. Toilets were not clean enough. I think QR has a good investment in hardware but its software - i.e. the crew are not as attentive as other airlines that I've travelled on before. eCheck in at ZRH was a breeze attentive ground staff by SWISSPORT. Service started from pre-meal drinks meal snack another round of pre-landing pre-pour drink which was good enough for a 5-hour flight the IFE was good but not user-friendly as you need to key in the movie number for the specific movie.

MAD-DEL via Doha return on 777-300 and 787 both ways. An excellent trip overall. Check in friendly quick and efficient for all flown sectors. Seats comfortable and converted to fully flat beds. Staff courteous friendly and efficient. They make you feel at home with an almost personalized service. Food and beverage of high quality. Entertainment endless. Lounge at Doha new airport one of the best I believe. A wonderful experience.

SHJ-DOH-NBO March 9-14th. What was supposed to be a pleasant and enjoyable flight actually has been a nightmare from the beginning to the end. Check-in at Sharjah was chaotic a ground staff member belonging to Air Arabia opened the counter 30 minutes late and were needing 15 to 20 minutes to treat every passenger even in the priority lane. My request for an emergency exit for a wider pitch was ignored. Had to ask 3 times for the Business Class lounge invitation card and the female agent even forgot to give my passport to me after (finally) printing my tickets. Police controls were crowded the time spent at the VIP lounge was the only enjoyable moment. QR Chef d'Escale was very friendly and helpful. No special welcome for Privilege club old A320 aircraft snack served was awful and nothing other than water available. Transit time at Doha was the worst: despite QR sales office promise of hotel accommodation being provided for more than an 8 hour transit I discovered that passengers coming from/going to Sharjah were excluded of this courtesy. I had to stay overnight in the Oryx Lounge which was crowded. No earplugs nor eye mask available. At least showers were very clean and comfortable. Food offer was ridiculous coffee machine was not working. DOH-NBO morning flight was miserable: old tired A320 no IFE for a 5 hours flight seats cramped no special welcome for Privilege Club and no geovision. The same can be said about the return flight with the same issue at Doha regarding transit. My last time with Qatar Airways.

Our route was on March 3 2015 London - Doha - Johannesburg - Port Elizabeth and was quite OK. Everything up to expectations. Our flight back on April 9th was also OK until the flight on April 10th from Doha to London flight no. QR011 Airbus A340-600 that flight was awful the seating was so tight you could hardly move the service was not up to Qatar Airways standards and worst of all before the flight was over most of the toilets were out of water.

Manchester to Melbourne return - flight very good as always I had 2 seats to myself on the Doha to Melbourne which enabled me to have about 6/7 hrs sleep. The only criticism is that the films/music etc is a little outdated and the films are quite old. The new airport is very big and bright but I found my way around quite easily and there are plenty of Qatar air staff just walking about ready to help if needed I've already booked again for next year.

QR845 12 March KUL-DOHA. QR237 DOH-IST. Return flight 23 March QR240. IST-DOH. QR844 DOH-KUL. Was given different seats from Doha to Istanbul although I have booked the seats and got a confirmation email from Qatar Airways resulting us being separated from each other. Tea and coffee were not offered and took quite a long time to get a cup of coffee after requested for one. On the flight back from Istanbul to Doha lunch took ages to be served. The air hostesses don't seem to move and was at the first 3 rows for almost 1 hour while those serving on the other side has already distributed to all passengers. Please improve.

Flew CDG-DOH-SGN-HAN-DOH-CDG: flights CDG-DOH and returns on A380 very good flights service and entertainment with enough size leg space (I am 6.20). Flight DOH-SGN on A330 old plane lucky plane half empty. Very good service. Return HAN-DOH a nightmare. Was a B777 with technical stop in BKK total 11 hours on a seat with broken seat cushion. Perception on being seated on a wooden bar. Luckily could move to another seat after some time (two weeks after return still hurts when seating). In general very good service friendly staff and transit in DOH without any problem. I would recommend QR except for this seat problem on the B777.

LHR-DOH-HKT 19/3/2015. First leg was the ageing A340 which I must add was a superb aircraft very comfortable. Second leg was a A330-300 not so great seats felt worn out. Service wise I have found having travelled with Qatar that it would appear they put their 'best' staff on the Heathrow route and other routes such as Phuket tend to get staff with lower ability. Overall having been a loyal customer of Qatar over the years I am not sure I will be in the future. I agree with other comments that Qatar are riding on past reputations. Food is average at best. Inflight service is now lip service and crew tend to walk past whilst offering teas and coffees without actually making eye contact. And entering and leaving the aircraft they might as well have no one on the doors. They did however provide bassinets for my kids (although on the Phuket flight crew never assembled it correctly). Whilst not directly related to Qatar - The New Hamad Airport is a joke lack of signage and direction and the lack of air bridges and speed of connections is appalling for what is supposed to be a new state of the art airport.
