QF010 1/2/15. QF001 28/2/15. Heathrow-Dubai-Melbourne. Dubai-Heathrow. Comfortable flat beds. Cabin a little utilitarian - just generally grey. Staff were friendly although on Dubai/Heathrow not many of them! Biggest disappointment was the food (business class). Mediocre pub food and cannot to be compared with any other airline we have flown with. We would not chose to fly Qantas again when there are so many options out there. Perth-Dubai was with "partner" Emirates - Qantas could learn a lot from them.

QF1 to London via DBX on 23 Feb. In the economy cabin QF have upped their game. The FA's were a great team from SYD to DBX and on hand to look after the folks in cattle (or coach depending on your persuasion). The quality of catering has improved since my last long haul on QF to Dallas in Dec 2014. A noticeable difference from DXB to LHR. Qantas persist in using a UK based crew. Service levels on that leg were indifferent at best. Sounded very much like being on one of the holiday shuttles to Spain. Note to Alan Joyce: this is an Australian airline. Even though I am a dual national (Aus/GB) I would much prefer an Aussie crew all the way. There is no way on earth a English crew can have the same feeling for Qantas. This is the reason why Emirates lag. They have a multinational crew who are in the UAE for the money. The only worthwhile engagement on the DXB to LHR leg was with an FA who was from Queensland. Usual ribbing about sport and interstate rivalry.

QF2 on 28 Feb from LHR to SYD via DBX. Upgraded to Premium Economy on points. Small cabin. Attentive crews on both legs. Food is much improved and the quality of service is great. It is business lite rather than a super charged economy. Small touches. The CSM came around and personally welcomed each passenger by name. Usual supply of F & B on request. Quibbles are minor. The footrest is pretty much useless. It does not extend out to support the legs. A better solution may be to add also some support under the seat in front. I was stuck in the middle of three seats so not the best place to be. Definitely worth the extra. Have not tried the other PE services with other airlines so cannot compare but QF is now scoring goals. From one satisfied QFF.

It was like flying two different airlines. The trip MEL-LAX on a 747/400 was an enjoyable experience. Food was great cabin crew could not have done more the toilet was clean and fresh. Sadly can not say the same for our return trip on A380 the cabin crew were just plain rude. No pre meal drink meal just slapped down half a glass of wine served with meal no offer of second glass. Tray cloth ripped of tray without being asked have you finished sadly there was a glass of Baileys on the tray it ended badly. Breakfast was worse when they finally got the order correct the toast was like cement the tea was cold and so strong you could have stained wood with it. Was too frightened to ask for another cup of tea due to the mood of the cabin crew. The A380 needs more toilets the ones available were dirty and smelly. Over all a very bad experience in Qantas business they have lost our business not that they will care.

22nd February QF 12 - LAX to SYD. Cabin staff very attentive and helpful food very good aisle seat with good leg room. No complaints.

Flew MEL to Wellington NZ on QF171. Full flight on a 737-800 left and arrived on time. Cabin staff were cheerful and the service was fine. The hot meal was simple but tasty. The 737 seating is very cramped and the in-flight movie offering mediocre to say the least. For a 4 hour flight its OK but it wouldn't take too much of a technology boost to provide a bit more offering in the entertainment area.

SYD-CGK-SYD on A330. Seat was not 180 degree flat but it was still good. Hopefully this route get an upgrade soon. It was good that now I could order meals in advance. Crews on SYD-CGK were friendly but not on CGK-SYD. Excellent wine selections. Managed to get a good sleep on CGK-SYD even though seat was angled. The breakfast on CGK-SYD was disappointing only muffin. I did not think it was up to Business class standard. Overall it was still a good value for money. But I had better experience with GA. So Qantas really have to raise their standard.

Flew Perth-Broome on QF1926 a retrofitted Boeing 717. Check in process was smooth and boarding was just as easy. Cabin was very clean and new seats were very comfortable. Flight was very empty since it was an early morning flight. Cabin crew were very young and energetic with lots of enthusiasm to help. 20 minutes into the flight breakfast was served. A very delicious breakfast quiche yoghurt and orange juice. Cabin crew came around 4 times offering complimentary drinks and snacks which was amazing since this flight is only 2 hours and 15 minutes. Landing in Broome was very smooth and baggage claim was quick and simple. Will fly with them again.

QF23 Sydney to Bangkok QF24 return. The journey stared badly when upon checking in online I found that whilst my wife and I with the same names and same booking expected to be seated together this was not so. After much effort and huffing and puffing the consultant told me that it was bad luck I should have checked in earlier the plane was full but lucky me we could have the bassinet seats. Lucky us. The A330 is a disappointment at the price. Old seating not lie flat. My seat wouldn't fully recline and lets admit it it's an embarrassment compared to Emirates and the like. Tiny screen almost impossible to watch and a poor selection. On the return trip the controls wouldn't work. No priority boarding in Bangkok. No care at all. The upside is that the cabin staff were amazing and caring. Thanks! The food was compared to my last Emirates 380 Business flight just average. Underwhelmed.

QF6 SIN-SYD A333. Good flight and pleasant cabin crew. On time departure early arrival. Food was OK and I got some sleep on the 7.5 hour sector. IFE basic but those tiny screens need to go!
