Helsinki to Stockholm. Checked in two hours before the flight paid 15€ for a bag I wanted onboard. B737-800 was clean. Food and drinks expensive and legroom not the best. But the prices they offer and the quality of service makes flying Norwegian worthwhile.

London to Tromso via Oslo return. Connections in Oslo Gardemoen very good well sign posted and easy to get to onward departure gate although you have to collect your luggage when you enter Norway. The aircraft on all sectors were modern and nicely appointed. Crew were attentive and very friendly. Check in easy using the self check in machines and the bag drop was nice and quick.

ARN-LGW. Norwegian make a welcome connection to Arlanda from Gatwick and service is better than most other budget airlines. Check-in was done at self-service kiosk and easy to get the best seats without extra charge. Crew pleasant 737-300 aged but being replaced according to the magazine and it was clean and comfortable enough; refreshments menu on board was uninspired and pricey by UK standards although the quality was acceptable. Pleasantly surprised with the lack of fuss over boarding and checking hand baggage. Altogether not a lot of difference in comparison to SAS except the ticket cost half the price.

OSL-BGO. With hand luggage only you don't have to check in for domestic flights within Norway which is great. You receive your boarding pass at the gate. Short hop but reserved seat at emergency exit very comfortable. Especially because they didn't charge for it but for 56 euro you can't complain anyway. Also return AMS-OSL seat pitch cramped but manageable.

Gatwick to Bergen return Flights on time. B737-800 going which had drop down video screens with cartoons. An older 737 300 coming back. Took my own food so can't comment on quality of catering. Would use them again.

EDI-ARN-EDI. They text you flight details on opening of check-in (2 hours before the flight) along with gate number which is useful information. Manual check-in only at Edinburgh as they do not offer online check-in however no queues. Older B737-300 and did not have wifi available. They did have the new slimline leather seats and seat pitch was more than adequate but for those taller than 5'6 it maybe more of an issue. Staff on board were friendly and onboard food available to buy was reasonably priced and looked of good quality. Landed in Stockholm early. Return flight similar to outgoing. Norwegian take part in Arlanda's common check-in kiosk system which allows you to check-in at Stockholm Central Railway Station before catching the Arlanda Express. Baggage allowance is generous and flexible. Landing at Arlanda is a big bonus as is allocation of seats before boarding and the overall service is worth the little bit extra over the competing service offered by Ryanair to Skavsta (which isn't even in Stockholm) - also without the general unpleasantness with that operator. Overall very satisfied with the service.

LGW-BGO-LGW. Seats pitch is really reduced. Staff friendly so on short flights I'd rate them as a low-cost+ (even if my ticket purchased same day was not cheap). They lack online check- in. I wouldn't fly them for 3+ hours flights.

Gatwick-Oslo-Tromso-Bodo-Trondheim-Bergen-Gatwick. Trip started with 50-minute delay not told why. Service good staff friendly. Transfer in Oslo was painless. Oslo-Tromso an exit so excellent leg room. Tromso-Bodo-Trondheim. Got to the airport very early and had a pleasant wait fairly uneventful flight. Trondheim-Bergen friendly check-in staff and stewardesses. Bergen-Gatwick a comfy flight although I only had British Pounds left so couldn't have a meal.

ARN-TFS-ARN with Norwegian. Booked it because of the cheap fare (if booked in advance) - we were a group of five and the flexibility of not having to limit to the usual package holiday 7 or 14 days. Both flights were delayed by about one hour. On the way out had managed to reserve Exit row seating which had great legroom even if a bit narrow. The legroom on standard seats in their 737's is just about acceptable for a low-cost carrier. Food is all extra charge and quality is fairly horrid. FAs efficient and friendly. Altogether as expected not better nor worse.
