Flew from London to Jeddah with Beirut overnight stop. The planes are not good - hardly any entertainment no footrests and seats don't go back! Most air hostess are not friendly and we had to ask 4 times for a glass of water. One time I got up and walked to the back to ask for water where without saying anything she gave me some water which made me feel uncomfortable. When handing refreshments out we got drinks but they forgot to give me and my wife peanuts and just moved on to the next person.

DOH-BEY. Smooth check-in two desks open. Flight left on time. Brand new airplane A320. In-flight entertainment very nice. Food delicious and plenty of it specially for a short haul flight 3h. Taxfree products very cheap. Cabin crew smiling all the time and very friendly. Flight landed on time 1 min later than estimated. Took my baggage and checked out all in all about 15 min. Would definitely fly with Middle east airlines again.

JED-BEY in Y class. Very smooth check-in at Jeddah thanks to the generous allocation of desks for Middle East Airlines. Flight was very busy but there weren't long queues. Friendly crew and no time wasted before serving a good quality hot lunch. Seats are pretty tight with minimal recline and passengers in the middle seats seemed uncomfortably squeezed. Jeddah to Beirut was only a 2 hour sector I wouldn't relish a longer flight. Beirut Airport was modern pleasant and easy to negotiate. MEA inflight magazine was one of the better offerings in the air. Overall impression was positive - good meal warm and helpful crew. Ground services were excellent.

Beirut to Cairo on March 19th. Aircraft was the new delivered A320. The aircraft had personal TV for every passenger. Shortly after take-off snacks were served and onboard duty free shopping started. The flight crew were efficient and fulfilled all passengers requests.

Beirut to London. Quick and efficient check-in with friendly staff. The meals in Business are well prepared and plenty. The Cabin crew are friendly. The best thing is that you do not have cabin attendants treating passengers like children with their over obsessive and disturbing multiple checks on seat belts and hand luggage. In my opinion their policy on non-reclining seats is best. If you wanted to sleep - buy First Class where you get yourself a bed- seat.

CAI-BEY-CAI. Ground handling in Cairo and Beirut were extremely unprofessional. Flights left on time with average service.

Flight BEY-LHR in Business Class. Check in quick and efficient at Beirut airport very good lounge at Beirut with lot of drinks and food. Flight on time efficient service but crew could be more smiley. I really enjoyed the flight and happy to know they will be joining skyteam next year as Air France and KLM are becoming less attractive.

Geneva-Beirut. I could not fault this airline's efforts. They had to deal with an influx of connecting passengers from the US who did not have their seats assigned until prior to boarding yet dealt with it nicely. Onboard their was a wide smile welcome the service efficient (although some of the attendants could learn to smile) and the seats wide enough though in need of updating. The pilot spoke Arabic English and French and we were well informed throughout. I would be more than happy to fly them again especially because their Business Class fares were half those of it's competitors.

BEY-CDG in Economy. New A320 with comfortable seats and IFE. Food was very good. The only thing which I did not like is the absence of any info from the flight deck (e.g. turbulence areas).
