"the gate is changing"

Trip Verified | Frankfurt to London. Flying to London at 7:00 am. At boarding time they realize that the gate is changing (while plane were already there - a sign they do not have their processes under control.

"lounge not very good"

Not Verified | I have flew back to Sofia with Lufthansa from Frankfurt. The seats were not very comfortable. The lounge was not very good, because they gave us almost frozen sandwich, soft drink and no dessert. The staff weren't as polite as I have expected.

"Staff were excellent"

Trip Verified | First time with Lufthansa and very impressed. Staff were excellent. Friendly and willing to please. Free food and drink on board and seat wasn't too dear. Plane was clean and bright and a kind English chap let me sit in his aisle seat as I am a bit claustrophobic. You meet the nicest people when travelling. Will definately use again and Munich airport puts Belfast International to shame. Probably the best airport I have ever used. Super clean and great layout.

"a great experience"

Trip Verified | Copenhagen to Houston via Frankfurt. This is my first long haul trip with Lufthansa after many successful short haul flights with them over the past couple of years. I have to praise them for a great experience, from booking, through check in to the flight itself. We sat on the top deck at the very back, economy on the top deck of Lufthansa is a small cabin with 5-6 rows so it felt very private and service was also very efficient and fast although there was only one cabin crew. As a 182 tall guy I found the seats to be the most comfortable economy seats I have sat in as my knees didn't touch the seat in front and I could stretch my legs comfortably underneath the seat in front. Crew came round with water/juice every half hour, and in between the galley was open and you could help yourself to soft drinks or even request beer/wine. The crew were excellent, and from this return trip I can understand why LH has earned the 5 star status.

"worst customer service"

Trip Verified | Cairo to Atlanta via Frankfurt. I was flying with a family member and a lap infant, the seats which were assigned were just random and didn't take into account that we have an infant with us. Only one meal was provided between Frankfurt and Atlanta (about 10 hours flight). I had to do some change on the return flight for a family member, I dealt with the worst customer service, they hung up on me and refuse to be any useful to help with the issues. Also got charged $400 to add an infant lap ticket. Bottom line me and my family will not do business with Lufthansa again, stay away from such terrible customer service airline.

"told me that I cannot leave"

Trip Verified | Tunis to Kiev via Frankfurt in June 2017. I went early to the airport for check in. The girl at the desk asked me typical questions about my visit and I provided her with all the needed information (visa, letter of invitation, passport) and everything seemed ok, until this agent came and took the passport gave it a glance then told me that I cannot attend this flight. I asked why, he replied that the money I have converted in dollars was not enough for the living standard in Germany (I must have with me an amount equal to 70 euros a day) I have answered that I am only staying in transit in Germany for a few hours, so the rules of the schengen visa don't apply for me, and I have shown that amount of money to the Ukrainian embassy and they accepted. Accommodation was covered during my stay in the host country and I was clear in the original letter of invitation that I have shown him. He seemed convinced after what I have said and he left. After a couple of seconds he came back and told me that I cannot leave because my letter wasn't in English or German, I showed him that It was original and written in Ukrainian because these were the requirements from the embassy of Ukraine but, the main words such as my name, passport number, place, date, program name, and other information like the accommodation that was provided were mentioned in English. Luckily I went to talk to other agents and they let put my luggage and go to attend my flight, while that agent denied his behavior and his acts.

"I enjoyed my flight."

Trip Verified | Brussels to Munich. Apart from a delay with the departure I enjoyed my flight. Unlike other European Airlines, food and drink is included. A sandwich was quite OK for such a short flight. The staff were friendly and efficient and went out of there way to help passengers who had issues catching connecting flights. There was no IFE, which is no big deal for such a short flight.

"friendliness of staff a game of luck"

Trip Verified | Newark to Munich. Aircraft with newly designed interior. Though relatively new the headphone socket at my seat (31D) did not work. The entertainment system was shut down 45min before the flight ended. The friendliness of the cabin staff is a game of luck. Sometimes you get some nice words as a Senator. Not this time. At boarding the middle seat next to me was empty, but then someone else was re-seated there. On my proposal to re-seat the person to the next row instead (Premium Eco, completely empty) the stewardess gave me a rude comment and asked if I want to pay 400€. The vegetarian pasta was covered with a fat/tasteless clumpy cream sauce, the dressing was frozen. Do yourself a favor and fly Delta instead at least you have a chance to get an upgrade as a loyal customer.

Trip Verified | Frankfurt to Port Harcourt via Abuja. Overall it was a good flight with some problems with thunderstorm during landing in Abuja (NG), but nicely landed after 1h30 in the air. Good crew Pros: - nice service - nice aircraft - nice choice of films/ music Cons: - Food was not that good, the veal meat as schnitzel is rather bad idea, fish is also not very well cooked - leg room

"frustrating and painful"

Trip Verified | My parents were flying Newark to Chennai via Frankfurt today by flight LH403 and had wheel chair assistance. We completed our luggage and check in by 4pm and had to wait almost 2 hours to get wheel chair assistance. It was frustrating and painful since there was no restrooms, or water or food where we were asked to wait and there was hardly any coordination or commitment from the ground staff at the airport. My parents could not leave their seats since they were waiting for the wheel chair since they were not sure when they would get the assistance. My repeated enquiries with ground staff did not yield desired results - all they kept saying was be patient for almost 2 hrs. The supervisor said there is nothing they can do and told me there was no formal way for me to leave a written complaint. When I leave feedback I am being told to leave detailed email to customer relations with which I have similar experience earlier when I raised a complaint about charge on my credit card for re issuance of tickets. I have not heard back from them in 3 months now.
