We had a long journey. We flew from Zurich to Hong Kong continued to Bangkok and travelled to Sydney and then all the way back to Switzerland. The Cabin Crew were always very friendly and taking care of our needs. The meals could be better. We will fly Emirates again!

EK6 London to Dubai on 24/25th July and EK 412 Dubai to Sydney on 25th July. Having experienced other airlines in the past we found Emirates to be the worst. The Flight Attendants were rude I lost count how many times they rush past down the aisle and knocked my elbow while I was trying to sleep -there was no apology. Food took forever to be served and by the time they got to you there was no choice as it was whatever was left. Drinks you would think they were paying for them you had to ask for them and when you did it was like you asked them for gold or something. We had to remain on the plane in Dubai for 3 hours before take off to Sydney it was very hot and stuffy after 2 hours of waiting the flight attendant's finally decided to give us some water or juice as everyone was asking for water even then they begrudgingly gave us drinks. Coffee and tea was served half an hour after you had finish your meals and even then it was lukewarm and you only received half a cup. Trays were left in front of you for about an hour and people that had special meals were fed first therefore if they were sitting in front of you and they had finished eating they would put their seat back and you had to manage your tray under your chin until they were collected. My experience with Emirates is definitely memorable but for the negative reasons and I would definitely not recommend them to anyone.

June 13th EK433 BNE-DXB with overnight stay at Transit Hotel and on to FRA with EK 45. Boeing 777ER. At Brisbane Airport plane missed turn to active Runway 19 and had to be pushed back resulting in 45 min delay. Apart from that delay everything went well. Unfortunately Emirates still has the 3-4-3 configuration which makes for extremely cramped conditions. Food and Drink service was efficient and even service calls were answered promptly. Toilets were kept clean. In Dubai I stayed at the Transit Hotel and was greeted by a Porter as requested. That is a great service they offer. I would have had big problems finding the hotel. Highly recommended if you need a rest from your travels even though a bit on the pricey side. Next morning after a good rest it was on to Frankfurt.

EK 088 ZRH-DXB 17th July 2014 Airbus A380. What a difference to the B777ER. Wider seats and more legroom plus a big TV screen. ICE worked to a treat and can keep you entertained on these long haul flights. DBX-BNE B777ER. Cabin crew were attentive on both flights but food offered was nothing to write home about. Will fly Emirates again but try to get on the A380 first even if I have to go via Sydney or Melbourne to Europe.

July 25 2014 from Hong Kong to Dubai on EK383. I always travel economy class with Emirates. Amongst all the airlines I've travelled they are one of the best in customer service punctuality fairness seat comfort etc. I'm extremely picky when I travel and so far I have not found a chance to complain. My only concern during a couple of the flights (2/10) was that the inflight entertainment monitor could not get adjusted very well.

I did the long haul from Gatwick-Dubai-Bangkok-Sydney in economy for all but one leg when I was in business class. I tried to upgrade the other sections five times over three weeks and was given the run around each time including at the airport three hours before departure. Turns out the plane was full on every leg so they could have saved me time and angst. The crew in economy looked unhappy without exception and were overworked and brusque. Seat comfort was what you could expect - but narrow seats made sleeping very hard. Luckily my fellow travellers were sanguine about the heat stuffiness and general mayhem. Not an experience I want to repeat especially after they lost our bags.

27 June 2014 HYD-DXB EK 529. 28 June 2014 DXB-HYD EK 203. I have been travelling EK between US and India since 2011. One of the best aspects of EK is that they keep changing their products which makes the passenger experience exciting. This time it was a whole new experience on the A380 between DXB-JFK: the food is simply superb the presentation style has changed - better trays and plates a mini-snack bar with crackers and dips food quality and quantity are great the ICE continues to exceed my expectations and it was lovely to watch it on ipad style 12 inch HD screens with a smooth-touch screen remote! The flight between HYD-DXB on B777-200LR was good older IFEs even with 3-4-3 seat configuration it was comfortable [I am 5'5] but the food was simply excellent! I love the fact that EK gives a hot towel lime water [on flights between DXB and India] a menu card and stainless cutlery for Economy. However it would be nice if the flight attendants could learn to smile more but they always seem to be in a hurry. Overall EK is the most enjoyable way to fly!

Flew economy with my wife Sydney to Dubai 17 July and Dubai to Barcelona 18 July. Both flights flawless. Food definitely edible trays cleared away promptly tea and coffee served after the meal when the trays were being collected. Drink runs every hour or so. Snacks available at each galley during flights. Arrival into Barcelona nearly an hour early but only downside was that baggage took some time to arrive on the carousel. Inflight entertainment superb with huge selection of movies and TV programmes.

Flying from Hong Kong back to the UK on flight EK383 on Thursday 17 July our flight was delayed due to bad weather for four hours some time was made up and arrived in Dubai and the flight EK021 to Manchester was still boarding. Told our seats had been re allocated the result - a five hour wait in Dubai waiting for the next flight. Emirates had jumped the gun so to speak. Why?

Return Biz class ticket purchased with EK from Muscat to Beijing. On arrival at DXB airport following the flight from Beijing with a 3 hour wait - barred from using the EK Business lounges in Dubai and told that as it is a code share on the last sector (EK ticket) I would not be able to use the Emirates facilities at Dubai airport but must instead use Oman Air! Staff on the business lounge desk most unhelpful. Following a very long walk through DXB airport to terminal 1 no Oman air lounge was found so option was Gulf Air - who (unlike Emirates airline ground staff) were extremely helpful and friendly! Note for the future - avoid flying Emirates business class if possible!
