PE is not Business Class (J) so if you are looking for J PE is not for you. Having said that PE on Cathay Pacific (CX) is OK. Seats are comfortable food is good there is room to move. The only downside is that the toilets are shared with Economy on the A330 and some B777. Would I fly with CX again and in PE Yes and No.

Melbourne to Hong Kong economy class. Excellent service great food menu provided was I nice touch good wine entertainment was good but there were limited movies. It was inconvenient using the lavatory as 2 of the 5 economy toilets were out of service. We had to queue up for almost 10 minutes in the aisle to use it. I was very happy with the flight and it was definitely worth flying Cathay Pacific.

London to Hong Kong then onto Cebu. I was boarded first due to my hearing loss the flight left 20 minutes late but arrived in HK on time. The staff are still very good and friendly however they didn't have any fish cakes for my main course left and I was not able to eat meat - quite disappointed however they were very apologetic. They should have anticipated the demand. HKG to Cebu: Flight was 45 minutes late taking off and landed 30 minutes late a little surprised to be boarded on a new A330 airbus however the business class seats which is the same for long distance seems a little smaller compare to the Boeing 777. A major cock up with the stewardess only giving us two forms one for health and the other for passport and forgotten to give us another form for custom chaos at customs as none of the passengers had forms to give them. A real hassle also there was no meet and greet for me either. Fingers crossed my return trip next month will be much better.

Flew from Hong Kong to Brisbane via Cairns in May. We were offloaded from Virgin Atlantic to Cathay and paid to travel Premium Economy. We did get a wider seat but the cold hard muffin yoghurt and orange juice breakfast had to be a basic as they could get. I don't know what they got in economy but it couldn't have been any less. Hardly saw the staff they just weren't there or interested. We had to walk a long way through the economy class to get to the toilets so didn't gain anything for having paid extra. Unless you need the slightly larger seat don't waste your money paying extra fro premium economy as you don't gain anything.

Flew Premium Economy LAX-HKG-LAX on 777-ER. I have read many prior reviews about CP PE and the main point is that this product should only be compared to Economy not Business Class. I have also flown CP BC and it is a great experience all around. I am 6'2" and the days of flying Economy across the Pacific are over! Understanding that the price can be about double after 15 hours I believe well worth the price. Was able to board early on both legs. Had a dedicated overhead bin. The private cabin in a plus. The seat was fantastic 34C which was back seat aisle. A bonus was the extra storage behind the seat. Even when the seat in front was fully reclined I never felt uncomfortable. The width of the seat the arm rest and comfort of the seat were all good! The entertainment system was fantastic! The noise cancelling headphones were excellent. I found the service to be adequate the food options were the same as BC including the wine options. Real silverware and linen. Had no problems getting drink refills or snacks. Had no problems sleeping had superb legroom. The adjustable headrest is a great plus! Able to de-plane ahead of EC which is nice. The extra price was definitely worth it to me as I felt completely rested after both legs which is invaluable. Also you if you have the opportunity to use SkyPier at HKG do it! Less than five minutes to get through immigration customs and security! Amazing experience! The check-in desks at SkyPier are efficient and fast! You take a short shuttle train to connect to the main terminal.

Hong Kong to London Heathrow. The flight left a little late but the new business class on this 777 was truly exceptional and I enjoyed every moment of the 12 hour flight. I even managed to get 6 hours sleep on what I think is a very comfortable bed. The food was very good with a nice selection the lamb shoulder confit was superb as was the pork which was served as dinner before landing. The wines were good again a good choice. The cabin staff were very professional and helpful always there. Overall a great journey and my new favourite airline for business class.

I am a 69 y/o seasoned traveller. I am mobility impaired following a series of joint replacements. I recently flew with Cathay Pacific return from South Africa to China via Hong Kong as a single traveller. I want to thank them for their fantastic service! From the moment that I arrived at the airport in Johannesburg - I was well supported and I received assistance with my mobility issues in a professional and caring manner.

Hong Kong. Beijing June 19 Business Class. Extremely comfortable short flight. Private lie flat seats on the A330 with great entertainment options. Decent breakfast served appropriate for the regional service by an efficient but not at all warm cabin crew. All in all US and European airlines could learn a lot about how to do regional first/business right. I would never hesitate to fly or recommend this carrier in the future.

Economy class SYD-HKG-EWR. Professional and respectful service on both legs and it was particularly good on the HKG-EWR leg. The HKG-EWR flight is one of the longest flights in the world but I found it very comfortable. After a 15 hr 20 min flight I emerged feeling pretty good. Seats are good good choice of food and sufficient variety in the IFE choices to keep passengers entertained. Cabin crew took care to ensure cabin and toilets remained clean throughout. They also came around regularly offering drinks an essential but often overlooked need on ultra-long flights.

Sydney - HKG - Milan and return Premium Economy. Sadly disappointed. Having flown premium economy or business on a number of airlines in recent years this definitely felt "economy". Service food and beverages were very average. Seat and entertainment acceptable. I note that the cost was equivalent to Singapore Airlines economy class via Singapore. Next time we'll opt for SA. Neither the food or the beverages offered were business class equivalent. Did I misunderstand what we were paying for? The crew were rarely seen but happy to step across passengers in the front row. No "excuse me's" were offered. The only flight where service was up to standard was HK-Sydney when the aircraft was not full. If this was "premium" we'll opt for economy on another airline!
