Not Verified | Unacceptable Series of Failures by Delta Airlines I was booked on a Delta flight from San Diego to Salt Lake City, scheduled for 10:10 AM, which departed at 11:40 AM. This delay caused me to miss my connecting flight to Paris. Delta rebooked me on a 4 PM flight to Amsterdam, but it was canceled due to technical issues. I was forced to stay overnight and wait for the next available flight to Paris, scheduled for 2:10 PM the following day. However, that flight was repeatedly delayed and eventually canceled as well. In summary, I missed three consecutive flights, highlighting not just isolated errors but a broader systemic issue with Delta's operations and professionalism. Their help desk staff seemed smug and unhelpful, adding to the frustration. Because of Delta's repeated failures, I lost money on a prepaid hotel booking in Mumbai and significant time. Delta has refused to take responsibility or offer compensation for the losses incurred. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I urge others to reconsider flying with Delta if reliability and accountability matter to you.

Not Verified | I sent my feedback 2 days ago an never even got a response I spent 7 hours on chat, phone, got disconnected many times booking flights for my son and brother to bring my deceased mothers remains home for her funeral (she passed away last week) got all the way to booking it. In chat I was sent a link to pay I did, got a confirmation #, got an itinerary in my SkyMiles account only to ne told it did not go through. I called my bank, called delta got my bank on the call and they told Delta, the money was taken out of my account, it was not pending status. 2 hours later, they told me I had to do it all over again it did not go through. Keeping in mind, my mother just died, I had to pay for her cremation, pay movers to empty her house and move it from California to Boston, Fly my son out there to help my brother pack up the house, and fly them both back here in time for her funeral next Friday. I did not have the money to purchase new tickets, I had just enough to purchase the plane tickets to fly them back with $36 left in my bank account. And I was told there is nothing we can do, are you serious right now? So its Saturday 12/7 I need to fly them home by 12/11 with my mothers remains in time for her funeral Friday, and I don't have the money to buy new tickets as Delta still haven't put the money they took back.

Not Verified | I had an absolutely terrible experience with Delta Airlines at Amsterdam Airport on December 4, 2024. My flight, DL049, was delayed for 3 hours and 45 minutes due to a supposed brake issue that needed fixing. While I understand safety concerns, the way Delta’s ground staff handled the delay was unacceptable. Despite the long wait, no meal vouchers or any form of compensation were provided to passengers. This lack of basic customer service is shocking, especially when dealing with such an extended delay. As if the situation wasn’t already frustrating, when I finally reached the ticket check, a Delta employee had the audacity to ask me, “Are you in a hurry?” — a completely disrespectful and inappropriate comment given the circumstances. It showed a lack of empathy and professionalism from the staff. Delta’s handling of this delay was inefficient, inconsiderate, and far below what I would expect from a major airline. I hope they address these issues promptly to ensure no other passengers are treated with such disregard. Rating: 1/5. Would not recommend flying with Delta if this is the standard of service.

"the worst customer service"

Not Verified | Delta Air Lines has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I flew from Boston to Seattle which took about 7 hours. When we landed at Seattle we were forced to wait for a gate to open for over half an hour. This put a very tight time frame on getting to your connecting flights. Once we deboarded, I had 7 minutes to get to my gate and board. I got to the gate at 11am which put us 20 minutes before departure to Tokyo. However, the Delta Employee not only told me the plane has already closed its doors but also when I explained it wasn't my fault she just shrugged and said "You should have gotten here sooner." I was on the verge of a breakdown being over 2000 miles away from anyone I know and stranded in the airport. Later on I found out this flight took an additional hour to takeoff so the fact they didn't want to wait an extra minute due to their own delay was ridiculous. I explained the delay was waiting for a gate and she said "Well it's a weather related incident (fog) so it's not our fault your late." I was so upset here but she said "you need to take a train across the airport to the Delta helpdesk and see what they can do." There, this new agent again told me it was my fault I was late and need to arrive earlier. I explained the situation but there was 0 customer service ability from any Delta employee at this airport. She then booked me for a flight 24 hours later. I asked If I could get any food voucher or hotel voucher, and I bought insurance so does that help. She responded by telling me the customer service number can do that but they don't do any vouchers or help on weather related incidents. I almost broke down in tears telling her I'm all alone and what should I do, just sleep on the floor of the airport? She responded by saying "If that's what you want to do" I wanted to be on a plane but every step of the way Delta was rude and unhelpful. When I called customer service they told me there was nothing they could do and in order to get a voucher I would need to go to the help desk (the one I just came from). The level of care is non existent in this company. I had to argue over the fact that my tickets said boarding ended 15 minutes before departure ar 1120am. I was there at 11am but on the app that moved the time to leaving early at 1115am. And in addition the Delta employee told me the 15 minutes wasn't true and it's actually 20 minutes. It seemed like every step of the way they tried to find a reason why it was my fault I missed the fault. Now I'm writing this, stranded in an airport for another 19 hours, with no help, no care, and an absolute disdain for Delta Airlines.

“wondering what flight insurance is even for”

I booked airfare for my wife and I to go to see her mother for her mother’s 75th birthday and for my wife to see a doctor for a second opinion on her medical diagnosis. My wife is battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer and we have been told it is terminal. This will more than likely be her last trip to see her mother. I paid for first class tickets so we would have room to move around and so my wife does not have to walk down the tight aisles of the plane. I requested special assistance in the airport to get her to our gate and have done all the right steps to get her medical equipment approved for the flight. I bought flight insurance in case we could not make the flight or we needed to change the flight. Mind you, the insurance alone cost me half of what the ticket cost me. Two weeks prior to our flight I came down with pneumonia. As our trip got closer, I only got more sick. 4 days before our flight I worked out to have my sister in law take my place on the flight so my wife could still go to WA and I can stay home to rest. I called Delta to request to change the name on the ticket. I was told that they have a policy that will not allow them to change the name and there is ZERO exceptions to that policy. I explained the situation, spoke to a supervisor, and was still told no. I was told I could refund my ticket and then repurchase a new ticket but I would have to repurchase the ticket at the current days prices. Furthermore, i couldn’t use the money I paid for my first ticket to buy the new ticket. I was told they can’t do a fund transfer either. I had no choice. I refunded my ticket. But I have to wait 3-5 business days to see my money back. But I couldn’t wait 3-5 business days for the money as I needed the ticket sooner than that. So, now Im figuring out finances to pay for a new ticket AT THAT DAYS PRICES. As they were booking the new ticket I was then told that there was nothing left in first class like I had originally bought. I asked them why I can’t just buy the seat I just refunded and I was told that when I refunded my seat it was automatically given to anyone who has requested an upgrade and is on an upgrade wait list. So my original seat is no longer available. (This all happened in a matter of minutes as I refunded my original ticket and bought a new ticket all on the same phone call). Now this means that my wife and sister in law are in separate seats on the plane. on top of all this, a round trip ticket in comfort plus is costing me more money than my original round trip ticket in first class because I have to pay that days prices. Delta won’t honor a name change, won’t honor me to put funds from my current ticket to a new one, wont honor the seats I originally booked, and won’t allow me to purchase at prices in the day I originally booked the flight. I’m wondering what flight insurance is even for and why it’s so expensive if it doesn’t do anything for you. Delta Airlines: I hope you see this, and I hope you have more of a heart for your future customers. as for me and my entire family, we will never fly with you again!

Not Verified | Flight was delayed more than and hour and a half to leave Seattle. When we got to Paris, the connecting flight had closed the doors and boom, we had our flight rescheduled. Very inconveniencing to customers, and the customer services are just non empathetic and seem to careless. This is not the first time Delta is inconveniencing. Since July 2024 after there was global network outage, delta airline have not been so good to me. Never again, even if it’s the last airline in the world, I will never again use Delta!

✅ Trip Verified | I have flown Delta on a round trip from SFO to Accra twice now, and for some reason, there is never Wi-Fi on the flight from JFK to Accra and vice versa. Every time, it’s attributed to a "technical issue." However, the flight from SFO to JFK consistently has Wi-Fi without any problems. Currently, I’m at JFK waiting for my flight to ACC, and I just received a notification that there will once again be no Wi-Fi on this leg of my journey. As a loyal Delta customer and SkyMiles member who frequently flies within the U.S., I’ve never experienced this issue on domestic flights. This repeated lack of service on the Accra route raises serious concerns about selective treatment of certain destinations and passengers. It almost suggests that some routes and individuals are prioritized over others, despite everyone paying the same—if not more—for their tickets. This is unacceptable and not reflective of the equitable service Delta should provide to all its passengers, regardless of their destination. I urge Delta to address this inconsistency and rectify the situation immediately. Every customer deserves the same quality of service. Do better, Delta!

✅ Trip Verified | I was scheduled to fly from YYZ (Toronto International Airport) to Atlanta on November 20, 2024, at 6:15 PM with flight DL2714 to ATL (Atlanta International Airport), and from ATL to MLB (Melbourne-Orlando) in Melbourne FL with flight DL2435 at 10:39PM. I was boarding zone 8 and at the gate the Delta agent announced that the travelers can check the carry-on for free. I had a connecting flight in Atlanta, and I decided to keep my carry-on and went boarding. When approached the plane entrance, Delta male flight attendant told me that he won’t let me in the plane with carry-on. I tried to explain the reason I need my carry-on with me, but he called another person and that person laid a hand on me by pushing me away. I asked him to stop it and return to the gate to check my carry-on. After I checked my carry-on and returned to the plane the same male Delta flight attendant refused to let me in the plane and threaten me by calling security. I missed my two flights and was stressed. The Delta flight attendant was very rude and demonstrated a horrible attitude.
