Not Verified | We had a trip planned for last July and cancelled our flight well in advance - 1 month - and they promised us refunds for all three tickets totaling $950. It is now 9 months later and they still have not issued us our refunds. They sent forms to fill out with bank account info, we filled them out, then they sent the same forms again - we filled them out again. Then they said they haven't received the forms. We said yes, we sent them in twice. Then they said they didn't receive the banking code, which is plainly on all the forms. We sent it in again. We haven't heard anything since, which was about a month ago. They're scamming us and obviously want us to give up out of frustration. Not gonna happen! We will harangue them till we finally go to Athens and talk to them face to face. It's absurd and horrible business practices.

✅ Trip Verified | I was made to check my bag in and pay 50 EUR. I asked if I could keep it with me as it fit the size and weight of cabin baggage and they said no despite this flight being very empty. The air hostesses were also really rude and not understanding. I had to book this flight as their codeshare flight was delayed and I missed my connection so after a 5 hour wait at the airport they decided to charge me for luggage and to not let me have it on board with me. Terrible customer service.

✅ Trip Verified | In the transfer between the Cairo flight and the Barcelona flight, our bags were not loaded and when we got to Barcelona our bags were nowhere to be found. Our Air Tags told us that our bags were still in Athens. I filed a claim at the AVI Partners counter and they gave me confidence that they knew that our bags would be delivered by 1:30 the next day. In the morning our air tags told me that they had been flown early in the day to Madrid and then later to Barcelona. At 1:00 I tried to call then number on the claim and it said (in Spanish) that it was an unmonitored number despite it was on the form to call for updates. I got in a taxi and went to the airport and found the AVI Partners was about to close at 3:00 pm. I caught the lady she did not speak English, but I showed her my phone and the status and the paper, I kept pointing to the phone and finally we got someone that spoke English. These people had no clue about the status of my bags. The English-speaking person at the Iberia counter took pity on me and looked at my air tags status and then with the use of her computer, found the bags in a storage locker in the airport. Finally, after a walk through the airport and waiting 20 minutes emerged our 4 lost bags. The best part, was after I spent the time at the airport, and I paid for a taxi and got back to the hotel, I got an email from Aegean Airlines that my bags were being forwarded to my hotel. •Why did Aegean airlines not know my bags were in the airport?

✅ Trip Verified | Easy and efficient airline. Super friendly staff! Comfortable airplanes and good in-flight food. I missed a transfer flight due to a delay and Aegean seamlessly put me up in a beautiful hotel, covered dinner and breakfast, and got me on the next flight. Highly recommended!

Not Verified | So disappointed about the customer service. The staff was so rude to me and kept yelling “lady” in my face. Told me I had to repack my bags and check them while paying 40 euros after delaying our flight 2 hours. Just doesn’t seem fair to pay over what my ticket was with our flight being 2 hours delayed. Now I am not making my connecting flight and the woman at the front desk could not have been more rude or less helpful. Im incredibly disappointed.

✅ Trip Verified | Had booked the comfortable rate which has no clear advantages. It's good that they have more then one flight per day. Very good thing is that there is food in the economy class. There is Wi-Fi included which did not work. Cabin crew are OK, however too much make up. The captain spoke so loud. Generally, I think it is an excellent airline for greek/Mediterranean mentality/point of view.

✅ Trip Verified | I would not recommend flying with this airline. We had a flight from Athens to Tel Aviv while another company also had a flight around same time (20 minutes apart). The gates of these flights were next to each other and Aegean changed the gate of boarding an hour before the flight. Due to that, we were confused and sat in the gate of the other airline. When we were heading to the boarding desk we were told that it is the wrong airline and that our flight with Aegean took off 5 minutes ago. We went to their front desk hoping to find some help, but the only thing we heard was blaming us for missing the flight and claiming 1000€ to pay in order to have their next flight which was less than 5 hours apart. We were really disappointed.

Not Verified | Another excellent flight with Aegean for a very good value fare. Two rounds of drinks (each round consisting of two drinks), sweets, biscuits and meal (far beyond what British Airways offers). Clean A321 neo. The airline magazine Blue is more of a travel almanac with eclectic articles on destinations and intriguing suggestions (such as the disused Orient Express train in suburban Athens at Rouf station). Friendly crew and flights on time.

✅ Trip Verified | Flight from Frankfurt to Athens for 1st February canceled and refused to put us on the same flight, same time, but departing from a nearby city. As a result, we had to pay twice the initial price to purchase new tickets at the last minute.

Not Verified | The worst experience in Greece has been Aegean airlines so far. Airport crew for Aegean are rude, cannot and do not communicate when they need to tell honeymooners they’re assigning you random seats and overriding the ones you have chosen, pretty much deny you basic privileges like carryon luggage (correct size and weight) because the flight is “full” and they’re randomly selecting which passengers get to keep their luggage and which don’t. Needless to say, we will be trying to avoid this airline at all costs after this travel. Thanks for ruining our Greece and honeymoon experience Aegean airlines.
