"Seat felt kind of hard"

(Canada)

Trip Verified | Seat 4A on Flair’s Boeing 737-800 is good. You get 2 windows and a nice view of the engine, but 5A is better for that view. When I flew the 4A, B, and C row was empty except for me. Seat felt kind of hard though. On my flight it had a charging outlet, but didn’t work

"These seats are the worst"

(Canada)

Trip Verified | These seats are the worst. First off they're stained and filthy, they are barely wide enough for an average adult, my waste is 34 and I was very uncomfortable. I had paid for bulkhead row as I knew the legroom was tight, and even there I wasn't comfortable at all. $60 for extra legroom and I couldn't even cross my legs because I'd be within the wall, the seats are too close to the walls of the cabin, and they don't recline so you're very uncomfortable the entire flight.

"Only caution is on the legroom"

(Canada)

Trip Verified | More than I expected. Flights were on time, service was good, you get what you paid for, fares are very reasonable, and love having a direct flight from point A to point B. Only caution though is on the legroom - row 5 A/B/C very light compared to the other side of the row 5 D/E/F.

"Better that expected"

(Canada)

Trip Verified | Better that expected. After reading some of these reviews we were a little concerned. My wife and mother-in-law travelled Saskatoon to Vancouver. We decided to give Flair a try due to the very high rates from Air Canada and Westjet. The booking was very easy. If you travel with just a carry-on it is very cheap. Checking bags is where they recover their discounted rates. ~$75/bag. Expensive but still significantly cheaper than AC and WJ. The booking was easy. Regular reminders can on our phones and email. Check-in on-line was very easy. The plane left on time and arrived on time. The staff at the gate were very helpful and courteous. My wife noted how helpful Betty was. She was an air hostess on the plane. The plane was smooth on take off and landing. Overall a good experience. We will fly Flair again. At least we have another choice. When people write a review they should write it based on a "Discount" airline.

"seats are permanently locked upright"

(Australia)

Trip Verified | Night flight from PVR to YVR. 5 hour duration, departing 2100. All seats are permanently locked upright with no choice to recline at all. It simply punishes its passengers in doing this with no real common sense at all, especially on a night flight.

"seats are hard and uncomfortable"

(Canada)

Trip Verified | Never again. The seats are incredibly close together. In case of an emergency, I doubt many people could get out in an efficient manner. There are seats with more leg room but you have to pay a premium for that. The seats are hard and uncomfortable. They also do not recline. This makes sense because you would recline into the person's face behind you. On top of that, the Flair App kept crashing so no in-flight entertainment. I know this is a discount airline but the experience was worse than bottom basement pricing. The flight had only 29 passengers with capacity for 186. When I asked to move to a seat with more leg room I was denied since I did not pay for that. 30 minutes into the flight I moved anyway and got dirty looks from the flight attendant. She did not approach me though, maybe because she realised how ridiculous it was to deny me.

"overall a good experience"

(Canada)

Trip Verified | It was my first time flying Flair airlines and I was really curious about what the ULCC would deliver. I had read all about their poor on time departure performance and customer service issues and was prepared for anything they threw at me. I have no complaints whatsoever. We did purchase the big bundle and had priority boarding so this we super smooth as well. I sat in their preferred section where there was extra legroom and felt is was also great - Seat 3F. My only complaint here is that this specific seat is narrower than others perhaps due to the shape of the fuselage. I would not recommend row 3 again. At least Row 4 if the Window seat is desired. And as expected we departed more than an hour later than scheduled. but overall a good experience. I would recommend them for leisure travellers who are not making any connection and really want the bare bones experience (no power, no entertainment).

"arrogance and disrespect for my daughter"

(Canada)

Trip Verified | The arrogance and disrespect for my daughter. On both flights she was bullied out of her window seat by a family looking to seat their children at the window. On the first flight a family took advantage of early boarding for families. Kate arrived to the window seat I booked her and found a dad on the aisle and his five year old kid in her window seat (maskless, btw). He said his kid wanted to sit next to the window. Then another man came up and told the father in the window seat that he was sitting in his seat. So the father moved across the aisle, leaving her in the middle seat between a stranger and a random 5 year old without a parent. I paid for that seat for her. This family had the opportunity to do so as well. Kate didn't want to have to complain to the father or out loud to the flight attendant and make trouble. Kate was texting me all this from the plane. I found out later that during the ascent the father had to attend to his five year old so got out of his seat to do so. The flight attendants got mad. Said he couldn't leave his kid and insisted on getting everyone to their correct seat. Then this morning as she was boarding her flight, same thing happened. Different family. At least they asked her this time. They wanted to be seated together. Now she's on the aisle. I told her to tell the flight attendant but she has decided not to as she'd be stuck on the inside with their screaming baby. Why bother offering to pay for seats if none of it matters anyway? The flight attendants should have to demand everyone sits in seats that are unpaid for. Not have to rely on paying customers to sort it out. It's terrible how she was put in this situation. A tiny 16 year old on her first flights alone.
