HAINAN AIRLINES IS CERTIFIED AS A 4-STAR AIRLINE

On December 1st 2009, the award ceremony for China's first "SKYTRAX 4-Star Airline" was held at the JW Marriott Hotel Beijing, and attracted a great deal of attention from the aviation industry and media in China and abroad. Skytrax CEO, Mr Edward Plaisted presented the SKYTRAX 4-star airline trophy and certificate to Hainan Airlines CEO, Mr Wang Yingming.

HNA Group Chairman Chen Feng attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. HNA Group director Chen Wenli, Hainan Airlines chairman Li Xiaoming and Hainan Airlines CEO Wang Yingming also attended the ceremony.

Commenting on the latest Certification, Edward Plaisted (Skytrax CEO) said .... "this 4-Star Airline Certification is a coveted seal Quality Approval that an airline receives in recognition of its front-line Product and Service quality. We are delighted to see Hainan Airlines delivering some very high quality requirements that are required for the 4-Star status."

Hainan Airlines is the first and only airline in mainland China to have gained this 4-Star Airline certification, and one of just 27 airlines worldwide that currently meet the rigorous quality criteria set for this 4-Star airline ranking.

A 4 Star ranking signifies airlines providing a good standard of Product across all travel categories - and a good standard of Staff Service delivery in Onboard and Airport environment.
